Larry Prout Jr. Has 92nd Surgery This Morning
Per Facebook, football team member Larry Prout Jr. endured his 92nd surgery this morning - on his foot. His mom reports that he's a little sore, but all went well. John O'Korn was among those sending well-wishes on Facebook, and it looks like he had plenty of post-surgery visitors.
Hail to the toughest guy on our team. Feel better soon, Larry!

perspective bringer. Larry...I would give up football altogether if that would help you. As it is... your story helps me. Always stay a Wolverine. We look forward to hearing about you this bowl season.
Hail Larry!

While watching the team warmup, I had the pleasure of meeting Larry and his dad before the Indiana game. Both were very cordial. I thanked Larry for being such a great teammate, as he made cookies as a pick-me-up after the Iowa loss. This brief meeting was truly the highlight of my day.

True warrior. I wish I had a tenth of the resolve and strength of this kid.

Larrys story reminds me how fortunate I was as a kid to not have to deal with this type of stuff. This kid cant even have a normal childhood because he is in the hospital so much. As a parent I couldnt imagine what his mom and dad are going through, Larry is an inspiration.
I envy the courage and resolve Larry and his family have.

No kidding. The resilience of children is never short of amazing. He is probably handling the situation better than his parents.

I cannot even imagine what it is like to be a kid and facing your 92nd surgery - the strength and resolve and courage that this must take is incredible and I wish I possessed it.
Wishing a speedy recovery to the toughest Wolverine there is.
