went a little Fred Jackson with his hyperbole but ten players better than Webber? Rose I can understand but Webber was as dominant a college player as I've ever seen. I'll give the nod to Rice and Burke but I can't say there are 8 other players that were better than Webber.

Realfootballfan-Have you ever seen any of these players play: Cazzie Russell, Henry Wilmore, Rudy Tomjanovich, Campy Russell, Rickey Green, Roy Tarpley, Gary Grant (not going to mention players in the last 25 years; I assume that you have seen them).  Webber was great, but one dimensional on offense, most of his points came on dunks and tip-ins.  I'll take the players I've mentioned as I have personally seen every single one of them play, including Webber.

film on every one of them. All very talented players. Webber wasn't one dimensional, however. He could handle the rock, lead fast breaks and pass as well as a guard, in addition to rebounding and blocking shots. Most of his points came from tip-ins and dunks due to the position he played, how Michigan ran their offense and because he was a 6'10" athletic freak of nature. They didn't need him to shoot threes and play the wing- He was a post player. His all-around game developed after he got to the NBA(where he was the #1 overall pick and rookie of the year)especially during his Sacramento years. I respect your opinion though. All of the players you named were awesome.

Rose is very opinionated.  Thankfully that's his job.  He does a great job of being a representative for the University of Michigan, as a player-alum and a fan.  I don't love everything he says, but I have no problem with him giving his opinions (especially when prompted).

The Fab 5 "reunion" at the title game was so forced and awkward. I love Jalen and his unabashed homerism, but he needs to let it go.

JALEN, CHRIS WEBBER DOESN'T WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND. HE DOESNT HAVE TO BE YOUR FRIEND.

They may have asked a question, but man, Jalen has some things going on. He's like that girl at school that needs to be liked by everyone and blames them if they don't, like it's their problem. Jalen, bro, you had a mildly successful pro career and have boatloads of money. The fact that your childhood buddy isn't feeling you or your school isn't bending over backwards to parade you around, that's called people moving on. It happens. Most normal adults don't hang out with the same group of people they did 10-20 years ago. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, and it doesn't mean they are scared or less of a family person. They simply moved the crap on.

why anyone would give two fucks about this anymore.  I can't wait for WILL THE FAB FIVE RETURN for a 30 year anniversary mentioning of their names during a timeout at Chrisler.

I think the Fab Five need to realize that most people don't care about them anymore and care more about the current team, which is the way it should be. The Fab Five played in the early NINETIES. It's 2014.

Give it up, Jalen. Seriously. With how many times you've called out Webber, and the fact that he still remains silent, it's clearly obvious he has zero interest in ever affiliating with Michigan ever again. Or with the Fab Five. There's a reason he hid away up in his private box at the title game last year.

Webber wants to bury his head in the sand and pretend that his years at Michigan never happened. Frankly I think that makes him a coward, but he's within his rights to do so.

If he ever wants to come back, great. If not, I couldn't care less. The time of the Fab Five is over, dead and buried. We've got a great team with a great coach RIGHT NOW, which is infinitely more important than anything any member of the Fab Five has to say.

I don't take exception to anything Rose said.  It was honest answers to reasonable questions.   As fans, it's like we want to criticize athletes and coaches for vanilla answers but then criticize them for being honest.

He was just answering the questions he was asked. It's not like he's writing all this on a blog somewhere every day. If nobody asked him these questions, he wouldn't be talking about this. I seriously doubt Jalen sits at home at night unable to sleep thinking over and over, why doesn't Chris like me, why doesn't Chris like me....
