Knowing that the season is around the bend, recent negative recruiting news, and the NCAA doing their best Keystone Cops interpretation; randomly came across an entertaining interview of Jake Butt on YouTube.

It is a small channel, with the two hosts being former D1 athletes: Georgia QB Aaron Murray and LSU C T-Bob Hebert.

It is over thirty minutes long, and viewer digression is advised. As there is some Rated R language being thrown around by T-Bob.

What I found interesting, was Jake's approach, thoughtfulness, and story telling style akin to Joel Klatt.

I found it entertaining, didn't see it posted on here, and thought others may find it equally entertaining.

Enjoy

Worthy post and fun watch.  I thoroughly enjoyed the segment on practice limits and how they are dodged and also the comment that the problem with the Big 10 is that they care about academics.

I took that as more of Jake having his guard up (and also, snitches get stitches lol). Jake isn’t that far removed from the program, he played for the current coach. There’s been about 3 different regimes since Herbert was at LSU, much easier for him to talk about those things. He also has the personality of somebody comfortable talking out of school and just letting it fly.

The SEC might be more blatant with it, but you would naive to think B1G teams aren’t finding ways around those practice rules like every other program with a pulse.

It’s an entertaining viewer digression. I agree that Jake isn’t going to be at BTN forever—he’s smart, he’s personable, he’s got a great voice and good looks.

Hebert is kinda entertaining too—crazy that he’s Bobby’s son.
