Isaiah Todd Status? Should we worry yet?

His failure to sign yesterday seems a bit ominous. Is it??

Seems to me that he's committed to Michigan but wanted to see how the team did with the new coach. So, I'd say he's a soft-to-medium commit and his LOI is contingent upon the team doing well. Getting Dickinson on board couldn't hurt, either.

Look at Rocket Watts with MSU, some recruits just want to wait until the spring.  And honestly, he may want to continue to evaluate Michigan with Juwan being a new coach and all.  It's easy to have an "our pets heads are falling off" reaction, but I think I recall him saying this previously that despite the commitment, he wanted to wait to see how the team did throughout the season.  If he wanted out, he would just decommit.

Also, for those saying that this is proof he will play overseas, he could sign a LOI and still play overseas.

Sam Webb said on the recruiting roundup today that it's still possible he signs in the early period. He has until November 22nd I believe. He also said that the longer it goes, the less likely he comes to Michigan. If he signs an NLI, he can still decide to go overseas, but can't go to another school. The longer he waits, the more options he has

If you are inclined to worry there is ALWAYS an excuse to do so. Will the player sign, or get hurt, or become ineligible, or have a nagging injury that holds him back, or encounter a mindless NCAA suspension, or turn into a bust, or leave early for the pros...

Bottom line: that's Coach Howard's job, and he is paid well to handle those headaches. As fans, we can wait and see who actually plays for our team, and cheer for those guys. If you aren't their parents, there's no point to obsessing over decisions teen agers make.

WD - What’s up with the “boomer” slam? It’s just as lame as people calling others “millennials”. As if every person from a particular generation is the same. It’s dismissive and insulting to a whole group of people. SMH.

Signed - a boomer

Vapid, insufferable people are just that. Regardless of what "generation" they come from.

But I'm not at all surprised to see you make this comment. It's perfect, for you.

The same stupid comment, from the same stupid jack-wagon, five times a day.

You are one of those chooches that drives around with Michigan magnets and flags all over your car, aren't you?  I can literally feel your lack of self-awareness and desperate need for approval through my phone.

After reading this blog for years, like 5 times a day, and almost every message board thread, I've come to realize this is not the case for many other mgoblog readers.  Pretty sure this topic has been covered in multiple places.

He has to sign a document that would prevent him from playing basketball for any other NCAA school.  He can sign it now or he can wait and sign it later - the upside is the exact same, assuming Michigan is holding his spot.  It's a smart move to wait - doesn't mean anything about his commitment.
