THIS is what happens when the NON-STUDENTS get to games LATE.

Also, I was early and thought my post would help others who don't "have their shit together."
I've never been called uppity. I think I like it.

It's the gate directly on the way from campus (where the students go to school and live). Some of you complain that the students don't get there on time, DB does three things in the offseason to make it so (loyalty points, GA, and Gate 10), we have the best student attendance in a shitbag game, and you still complain.....

Can we just end the thread with this comment? I wish I could upvote it, as it is spot on.
To the creator of this thread, maybe just enjoy the game rather than getting all uppity over every minor inconvenience.

I don't go to Ann Arbor to run into a bunch of college students, for crying out loud!

They announced months ago that Gate 10 was going to be the Student Section gate. Get your shit together.

Or just walk over to Gate 8 and waltz right in like I do every year and did today.

I've been coming to Michigan games for nearly two decades. When exactly was this period of stadium entrance harmony? I must have missed it.

What don't you get? It's all DB's fault! Things ran perfectly until he decided to muck it all up.

Is not your only option.
I'm not going to say its "moronic" either considering gate 10 is the closest to where the students live and have always entered the stadium.
As a ticket taker at gate 9, I can tell you the problems today were less about what gate the students entered and more about the new scanners we are using not connecting to the network and inhibiting our ability to efficiently scan tickets.
The line during today's rush was no longer than normal, it just didn't contain any students.
I think a lot of the frustration that the fans felt was because something changed.
If crossing paths with the students is a problem for you, try gate 1, or gate 2 or gate 4. If waiting in line is an issue enter the stadium earlier. There is no line until about 20 min before kickoff.
I'm sure there are improvements that could or should be made to make entering the stadium easier, but at the same time if 100,000 people are trying to enter the stadium at about the same time there will be lines.
Be patient. We are doing our best.

scalped, they still make you go through the student gate. Saw a poor women and her young child turned away at another gate and told to go to the student gate.

That women and her child did need to go there, in order to be assigned a section, but it's stupid that they actually won't/can't scan student tickets at other gates. We took our lap-sized child, and I used my student ticket to get in. But the way it's set up now, I had to go in gate 8, send his mother with him to use their non-student tickets to get in another gate, and then find them inside to sit together in the non-student seats. That's doubling up on the stupidity of requiring a baby to have a ticket.
