But it's so good straight!
September 18th, 2020 at 8:39 PM ^
Y’all ever think about death?
September 18th, 2020 at 9:27 PM ^
Every night.
September 18th, 2020 at 9:51 PM ^
I do. That is why I try to have a great life
September 18th, 2020 at 10:48 PM ^
The stench from my dead forest caught the jet stream and even choked you guys out this week
September 19th, 2020 at 12:18 AM ^
You're born to die, dude!
September 18th, 2020 at 8:39 PM ^
Drinking some Voodoo Ranger Juicy Haze Ipa. It’s not great lol.
September 18th, 2020 at 8:46 PM ^
Is that brewed by New Belgium? Haven't tried very many of their beers. Drink Fat Tire once in awhile. Not a fan of the hazy IPA's anyway.
September 18th, 2020 at 9:33 PM ^
Yea it is new Belgium. Thought it would be decent because Fat Tire isn’t bad at all but it’s mediocre.
September 18th, 2020 at 8:43 PM ^
Had some Wheezin' the Juice from Grand Armory, pretty good IPA. Unfortunately now that it's all gone, I just have some Molson lying around.

Nikka taketsuru 21
September 18th, 2020 at 8:59 PM ^
Is that a Japanese scotch? The name screams top shelf and very expensive. I bet it is very smooth. You always drink the best?
September 18th, 2020 at 9:29 PM ^
To the extent a Japanese whisky can be considered scotch, that would be correct. The age statement japanese whiskies are getting harder to find and I've had the 17 before and loved it. The 17 and 21 were discontinued by nikka due to low stock earlier this year. A local shop had a bottle sitting on the shelf at a "good" price. I've never seen one available before and maybe won't again, so it came home with me.
It's something special.
September 18th, 2020 at 9:35 PM ^
I think I've heard on here you got a spot up north and a business. Sounds like you got it made, man. Can I ask what your business does?
September 18th, 2020 at 9:44 PM ^
Dennis! Seriously, I'm a camping fan and think of your thread often. I actually live in Georgia. Went to Michigan for law school. I have my own firm down here.
September 18th, 2020 at 10:28 PM ^
Sorry to hijack your posting. How hard was it to recieve an invitation to Mich Law? Score a 180 on the lsat? Donate a testicle and half of your liver?
September 18th, 2020 at 11:35 PM ^
I applied to a lot of schools. I was a non traditional applicant with a military background and a kid. One bad year very early in undergrad, but otherwise had a good gpa from a good southern university and lsat score in the range for Michigan. Also studied Japanese in undergrad which is what spurred the interest in Michigan in the first place since they had a Japanese law curriculum. It was just a good fit and I appreciate Sarah Zearfoss for seeing that and giving me a chance.
Oh, and it was both testicles. I knew I'd need the liver for threads like this.
September 18th, 2020 at 9:57 PM ^
One of my biggest regrets thus far is that I've not yet made it to Japan. I would absolutely love to eat and drink my way through the entire country.
September 18th, 2020 at 10:05 PM ^
You should. You only live once and Japan is great.
September 18th, 2020 at 10:09 PM ^
It was in the next two on my list and then COVID happened. Soon though!
September 18th, 2020 at 11:42 PM ^
Where's the other bucket list location? I want to go to Iceland, Australia and New Zealand before I die. I did have a trip to Scotland planned to toe the country and hit a bunch of distilleries but covid screwed that plan.
I love visiting Japan, but Costa Rica is my favorite. If and when it's ever financially reasonable to hang out up here, the wife and I both love it and will be moving there to retire.
September 18th, 2020 at 10:12 PM ^
Like you, it took me too long to go to Japan, even after I moved to Asia. After I finally made it to JP, I went at least once every year for seven years, eating, drinking and highly recommend the skiing/boarding! Hard to get there now I'm back in the US... man I miss it
Ps - having a Fat Tire belgian white
September 18th, 2020 at 10:19 PM ^
The mountains there look incredible, I'd love to ski them. My Epic pass would work at two of the mountains, too.
September 18th, 2020 at 11:50 PM ^
I am there with you in having a wish to go there
I like anywhere with mountains
I also want to see their culture (Architecture and food, trains) and I've long respected their workmanship
and if I do it I am going to ski
I have a few other priorities to see first, but this one is getting a lot closer

Vodka & iced tea.
Watching Breaking Bad again. May switch to the Terminator 1 & 2 soon. I find comfort in the familiar. I need it now.
Have a good night all and lets Go Blue!
September 18th, 2020 at 8:53 PM ^
Labatt Blue.
September 18th, 2020 at 9:26 PM ^
Cut off from the world of beer as I am, I bought myself the non-alcoholic version of Labatt's earlier and it actually wasn't all that bad considering it is fake beer basically. My options are quite limited in my new reality, so I'll take what I can get.
September 19th, 2020 at 7:42 AM ^
I haven't had the non-alcoholic version, though I'd try it. I'm not the drinker I was in my 20s (was in the army then and there was lots of drinking) so the Labatt I get is a bit of a treat. I really cut back in my mid 30s. I'll drink beer in the summer when it's hot, but rarely in the fall and winter.
September 19th, 2020 at 7:42 AM ^
Sorry, double post yet again. I'll blame my keyboard and claim this wasn't an operator error.
September 19th, 2020 at 8:46 AM ^
Allegedly the Heineken NA is pretty good. You might want to give it a shot.
September 18th, 2020 at 11:32 PM ^
this is what I often drink when I'm back in Michigan
I've learned that in Michigan it's much fresher, and therefore better than when I try to buy it out west
I've played lot's of games of pool or horseshoes on that good stuff
September 19th, 2020 at 7:47 AM ^
I'm in Virginia and I get Labatt at Total Wine & More. It's the only place down here that sells it as far as I'm aware.
September 18th, 2020 at 8:56 PM ^
Backwoods
September 18th, 2020 at 9:11 PM ^
Not drinking anything tonight unfortunately. Watching Jurassic world: Camp cretaceous with the family. Soccer games way to early in the morning.
September 18th, 2020 at 9:18 PM ^
I'm drinking a monster because today is my monday and I have 6 more hours to go today
September 18th, 2020 at 9:19 PM ^
Declaring victory over my supply of cold Miller Lites, going to quit drinking and go to bed.
September 18th, 2020 at 9:25 PM ^

Pumking
September 18th, 2020 at 9:41 PM ^
Had a pumking at O'Callaghans in Plymouth earlier tonight. Quite refreshing.

2000s RNB/hip-hop power hour is afoot in this household accompanied by labatts. Jagged Edge, Chris Brown, and OutKast all night long!
September 18th, 2020 at 9:58 PM ^
I just re-discovered Stankonia this week, hard to say much has been innovative in the last 20 years... that album is so incredibly fucking innovative!
September 18th, 2020 at 10:25 PM ^
Absolute poets. Virtuoso.
September 18th, 2020 at 9:45 PM ^
Been on a ranch water kick since about the first week of March.
Fortaleza Blanco, half a lime juiced, a few slices of fresh jalapeño, fill the rest of the glass with Topo Chico and few ice cubes.
September 18th, 2020 at 9:56 PM ^
Sierra Nevada Torpedo and a Macanudo. Lovely night!

Boulevard Sixth Glass Quadrupel. It's alright but not worth $15 a six.
