Found LaMarr Woodley on Chopped (S33 Ep 3 - Star Power: Culinary Muscle)
The wife and I often turn to Chopped or Iron Chef for light TV viewing, and this evening we found a Chopped episode with one of our favorite LB'ers in it - LaMarr Woodley! He was on with two Olympic champions and an MMA fighter, so a winning cast. Dorothy Hamill (figure skating Gold in 1976), Mariel Zagunis (fencing champ in 2004 and 2008), and Paige VanZandt (an MMA bare knuckle fighter).
LaMarr didn't bring the wood, he was the first one out after making something out of Wagyu beef that looked like dog food. Oh well...
BTW, I know what you're thinking about the MMA fighter - big, brutish, built like LaMarr. Umm, NO. That little thing is 5'4", 126, blonde/blue, and friggen H.O.T. There's no way in hell that anyone would ever peg her for a bare knuckle brawler on first sight! LOL!! So many stereotypes down the drain!!

Soooo....no Master Chef status for Lamarr? Well, he didn’t lose to an Ohio State alum. That’s worth celebrating!

What'd the wifey think of your new MMA crush?

Haha! She just rolled her eyes and said I'd get my ass kicked. So true...

Surprised the wife didn't bust you right then and there.

I remember when Woodley was in high school the Free Press ran articles about how he often cooked for the household and managed to make things like a healthy version of lasagna while studying, lifting, and going to practice in addition to school.

Not knowing what "Chopped" was (I'm not into the whole cooking show genre), my immediate thought was that LaMarr had been involved in some horrible, Steve-Buscemi-in-a-woodchipper accident.
Proving once again that I shouldn't read this blog before the caffeine kicks in.

Uh, that show would have been called 'Chipped'.

I finally just read the first half of the Colorado 2016 post Ace put up. Wormley was such a beast. He made the Colorado QB look tiny in the photo sacking him. I remember some game where Michigan lost, the opposing fans were rushing the field, the team was running off the field to get away and some normal-sized woman runs in front of him and gets absolutely blasted. Looked like she got hit by a truck. He didn't push her or anything, she just got in his way and bounced off of him while he never broke stride. I haven't seen that since it was broadcast live, but I still have that etched in my memory. The camera was following him from behind.

Haven't had your coffee yet? Hahaha!

Paige is a looker, but she's a bare knuckle cook, not fighter.

I love the stories of Michigan players, men and women, who step beyond the stereotypes of their playing roles.

Cooking contests might not be everyone’s jam but the original Iron Chef from Japan is worth watching. From the campiness to the live action reporting to the giggling celebrities being oddly translated.
Damn show dragged me in. For me, the King of Iron Chefs Tournament was more entertaining than any Super Bowl.
The downside, if it could be considered that, is that it got me got into Japanese kitchen knives. So $10K later...

MMA has weight classes just like boxing, and I believe women's UFC specifically only has 4 weight classes with the highest limit being 145 lbs. The lowest weight class has a limit of 115 lbs.

Just saying but dog food made out of Wagyu would still be incredibly delicious
