This is really a reply to all 3 posters that replied to me so I don't have to reply to each one individually.  I'm trying to save some internet space here.  You're welcome Brian ;)

I agree, at some point the team is going to turn the page and get this thing going.  But, I guess I'm in the "prove it first" boat.  I refuse to get my hopes up about something that I haven't seen much of in the better part of a decade.  It's just easier this way.

I agree ND has flaws, but if you were an unbiased observer...are their flaws more glaring than UMs?  That's actually a difficult question to answer.  So, for me the edge goes to the home team in a night rivarly game.  If it was in AA I'd pick to UM to win the game hands down, but it's not.

Finally, I agree the "experts" are idiots, but there are just so many question marks.  This team has the talent that if a bunch of stuff goes their way and they figure out the o-line...they sky's the limit.  But, the same is true of the flip side...if they don't get some things figured out like a pass rush, a running game, protect Gardner, etc. this team could easily lose 4-5 games too.  So, it's hard to say with much confidence what this team will do.  Again, in a rivalry game at night, I have to give the edge to the home team, despite big question marks with both teams.

Really cool to see them side by side in the same drill. Mirrored each other almost perfectly, but Taylor had the more fluid hips. Really excited to watch the secondary battles shake out this year

for Heiko, please ask about double bubble screens with Norfleet going one way and Canteen going the other. Just have Funchess and Darboh/Chesson/Ways heading down the seams...

Yep. I'm pumped. I love the countdown to kickoff videos, though I will miss seeing John Falk in them. His video about the helmets is still my favorite CTK video.

Braden looks great

Looks like Watson (#28) is playing safety?

I was hoping Taco would be a little bigger

Countess and Taylor look outstanding and in-step in the DB drills

Just after thinking that, they show Jourdan Lewis making a great play on the ball

Peppers at nickel or safety, eh?

Clark with NFL pop on those blocking dummies

AJ Williams, Heitzman, and I believe Hill all make a catch

BUBBLE TO CANTEEN!!!!

Hurst rodeo’s Ben Pliska and makes a TFL

But he really looks like an agressive player and that's not necessarily a good thing at safety.  Especially early on in a career.   An agressive player that lacks experience might be a bit too likely to incorrectly commit early and a safety making that mistake that can result in a pretty big play for the opposition.

But with a year under his belt, with his size, speed, tackling brutality and playmaking ability he'd be a mean safety.  More

Nickel would probably be a whole lot safer.

But who knows, day two (?) of practice and all.

Internet disclaimer: all that is absolutely a lay opinion, and it's not presented as anything but.

I don't have anything to back this up, but I think Jourdan Lewis is going to be a problem in the future!(good problem). I just hope he continues to get a fair shot since the game is shifting towards taller DB's.

You have plenty to back that up.  He played well in in the games he appeared in last year, pushing into the line-up despite two experienced CB's.  He won a starting job during spring practice.  Many, including Sam Webb, has him as definitive starter at CB going into Fall camp, with the other spot left to Countess/Taylor (though that could change).

I just assumed someone would ask for stats or detailed reasoning behind my statement. But I guess that leaves Channing Stribling as the odd man out? Unless he rotates with Lewis, maybe they bump him back to one of the safety positions? It'll be interesting to see where they place him this year.

Does anyone know why only the QBs have their names on their jerseys? I would think they would be the easiest to remember
