Good luck with this
January 1st, 2011 at 5:52 PM ^
Because we're Michigan? That worked out so well last time.
January 1st, 2011 at 5:52 PM ^
I don't think we just get to assume that any coach we vet will want to come here.
January 1st, 2011 at 5:53 PM ^
TCU is going to be in the Big East in 2012. Patterson knows that his TCU squad will dominate that sh*tty conference annually and go to a BCS game every year.
January 1st, 2011 at 5:54 PM ^
I think he's a great coach, but there's no particular reason to believe he'd want to leave right now.
January 1st, 2011 at 5:54 PM ^
is four words... hold off on posting.
January 1st, 2011 at 6:28 PM ^
because he knows and y want the information?

TPryor makes more sense

Why not (insert coach for a good team)?
January 1st, 2011 at 6:24 PM ^
Why not Nick Saban?
January 1st, 2011 at 6:25 PM ^
Why not Jim Tressel?
January 1st, 2011 at 6:27 PM ^
Why not Chip Kelly?
January 1st, 2011 at 6:28 PM ^
This is fun!
Have any of them called back yet?
January 1st, 2011 at 6:58 PM ^
Why not Urban Meyer?

I hear he's available.
January 1st, 2011 at 7:00 PM ^
Why not Bill Belichick?

Maybe he can bring Tom Brady back?
(Why not Tom Brady?)
January 1st, 2011 at 7:04 PM ^
Why not Vince Lombardi?
Oh...that's right. Even he couldn't fix this defense.

Bill Parcells! Bill Cowher! Jon Gruden!

It's just not practical at this point to do a search for a new coach. DB either has a new coach lined up or Rodriquez will be back.
Patterson has been at TCU for 10 years - would he leave now that TCU will be in a BCS conference?
January 1st, 2011 at 5:56 PM ^
Mike Haywood? Undefeated at Pittsburgh. No points allowed. Firm handed.
January 1st, 2011 at 6:26 PM ^
I don't see how this candidate can fail at all!
Hire him now!
January 1st, 2011 at 6:33 PM ^
sure kept his Pimp-hand strong. We should hire him as the compliance coach as a minimum.
January 1st, 2011 at 5:57 PM ^
January 1st, 2011 at 5:59 PM ^
We should have just tried to hire Mullen, the guy knows how to coach with the best of them
January 1st, 2011 at 5:59 PM ^
then GP.

Screamed at his sideline doctor after the doctor held out a severly concussed player. I mean, the dude went ballistic on the guy, on national TV. No thanks.

my bad...........have u seen us tackle

There are literally scores of coaches that would improve our defense--I mean any minimum level of competency would be an upgrade. With that in mind, I'd rather take someone who doesn't look to put his own players at risk for severe brain injury for the sake of a W. Michigan is better than that.

So...Brian Kelly is not an option?

I have said this from the beginning. I want RR here next yr, but if he gets canned like we all are expecting, then GP would get my vote. I love everything about him and his DC, Dick Bumpas, is 1100020202x better than Gerg. The 4-2-5, imo, would beneficial for our personnel. But with all this being said, he is not available and prob would not accept the job if he was given it. He is headed to the Big East where he will most likely dominate. Anyways, the next few days should be very interesting.
January 1st, 2011 at 6:06 PM ^
i think millen is available...
January 1st, 2011 at 6:11 PM ^
might be why the heck would Gary Patterson want to leave?
January 1st, 2011 at 6:37 PM ^
We have to pay 2.5 million for RR not to coach so is 10 a year to much for a coach to actually coach?
January 1st, 2011 at 6:15 PM ^
causes me to double post...
January 1st, 2011 at 6:22 PM ^
head coaching jobs that are supposedly better than tcu's. one can reasonably assume that he has no intention of leaving.
January 1st, 2011 at 6:25 PM ^
Why not Urban Meyer?
Similar offense, new defense
January 1st, 2011 at 6:47 PM ^
and after seeing the Boise boards after we took their kicker, I'd love to see their boards after stealing their coach
January 1st, 2011 at 7:05 PM ^
Wayne Fontes?
January 1st, 2011 at 7:09 PM ^
The assumption is that any coach would love to leave a successful program and come to Michigan - the question is why? Who would want this job with the way the fans, alumni, and media have treated RichRod? It has been made clear that unless the coach is a "Michigan Man" or he goes 12-0 his first year, he gets absolutely no support. Who wants that?
January 1st, 2011 at 7:23 PM ^
The chance to bring us back? Why do you think no one refuses the ND job either?
January 1st, 2011 at 7:37 PM ^
