TCU is going to be in the Big East in 2012. Patterson knows that his TCU squad will dominate that sh*tty conference annually and go to a BCS game every year.

It's just not practical at this point to do a search for a new coach.  DB either has a new coach lined up or Rodriquez will be back.

Patterson has been at TCU for 10 years - would he leave now that TCU will be in a BCS conference?

Lane Kiffin's probably ready to move too. He has been settled for a year now.

Pease dear God don't even begin to think i would actually want LK as coach.

There are literally scores of coaches that would improve our defense--I mean any minimum level of competency would be an upgrade.  With that in mind, I'd rather take someone who doesn't look to put his own players at risk for severe brain injury for the sake of a W.  Michigan is better than that.

So maybe Urban Meyer will have another short retirement. Since he can't have his Florida job back maybe he will move to A2. Then we get new coach and keep spread offense.

I have said this from the beginning. I want RR here next yr, but if he gets canned like we all are expecting, then GP would get my vote. I love everything about him and his DC, Dick Bumpas, is 1100020202x better than Gerg. The 4-2-5, imo, would beneficial for our personnel. But with all this being said, he is not available and prob would not accept the job if he was given it. He is headed to the Big East where he will most likely dominate. Anyways, the next few days should be very interesting.

The assumption is that any coach would love to leave a successful program and come to Michigan - the question is why?  Who would want this job with the way the fans, alumni, and media have treated RichRod?  It has been made clear that unless the coach is a "Michigan Man" or he goes 12-0 his first year, he gets absolutely no support.  Who wants that?
