Brian Cook quoted by a NY Times columnist

Frank Bruni, columnist for the NY Times, also distributes his column to subscribers with an additional segment called "For the Love of Sentences," of others' clever phrasing, submitted by readers.

Today, he quoted Brian:
In MGoBlog, devoted to University of Michigan sports, Brian Cook previewedthe Michigan football team’s challenge in taking on the University of Alabama and its quarterback, Jalen Milroe, in this year’s Rose Bowl: “The closest QBs to Milroe on the schedule this year were Gavin Wimsatt and Heinrich Haarberg, which is like saying the closest thing to a Saturn V rocket we’ve got is Mentos tossed into a two-liter of Coke.” (Scott Gallisdorfer, Nashville) Note: Michigan beat Alabama in overtime, 27-20.

That initial article made my hear full of joy, reading at the end of Brian's NC post where that was block quoted made me cry. I love your passion for Michigan sports Brian, I feel like we were on the same emotional ride as the writers on this site. "They run like they have nothing in their pockets. Nothing at all"

What a joy this team has been!

What is the Scott Gallisdorfer attribution? I'm confused. (Edit: Oh I get it now. Submitted by Gallisdorfer, obviously someone who has a handle on this board.)

Anyway, good line, but I hope Brian was also credited with giving Jesse Minter his game plan. Blitz Milroe! Do not spy!

Good choice of a line to quote.  The state of B1G QB's was laid bare - and the entire B1G should hang their head in shame.

Of course, even if the coaches and AD's for those other 13 teams read that sentence, they wouldn't understand it's significance.
