that for a while now.
February 5th, 2013 at 11:33 PM ^
You know he's been doing that for a while, right? Like, it's reached man-goes-to-moon status by now. Even the announcer at Crisler said Ohio.
February 5th, 2013 at 11:33 PM ^
and I really want to know why this game isn't all over sportscenter now... This was an instant classic.

Awesome, but not create a new thread awesome.
February 5th, 2013 at 11:44 PM ^
meh, there have been far worse threads started. and its slightly topical as well.
February 5th, 2013 at 11:49 PM ^
"how about we create whatever thread pops into our head and cover the whole sideboard with random shit" but we uh...just beat a top ten OSU team. If there's a time for exuberance, this is it.

Maybe a snowflake, but such things slide after a win.

Better yet, he's also copied Hoke's habit of never losing at home.

Not this season. (I mean, there was a Purdue game, but we won by 15.) 14-0 at Crisler this year.

DIE OHIO DIE

it's German, for "The Ohio, The"
February 6th, 2013 at 8:17 AM ^
No one who speaks German could be an evil man....

Die by my hand. I creep across the land, killing firstborn man.

Honestly, I think Beilein has changed the tide on the rivalry. Hell people in Ohio are starting to believe him. Never in a million years I would have thought that. Selling Michigan jerseys is a good start.
February 5th, 2013 at 11:43 PM ^
Are the jerseys selling like hotcakes perchance?

Awesome. Thanks for this. I didn't notice it when he started doing it last year - I also never noticed it when Kim Barnes Arico did it too. r when Red did it. And the golf coach, the baseball coach, the softball coach, the field hockey, rowing, janitorial staff, the staff at the Ross Executive Residence, the guys who trim lawns and shovel snow................

Kind of ironic he calls ohio state "ohio" when you guys did get knocked out of the tourney against the mac Ohio, wouldn't think he would find the "ohio" stuff humerous anymore. Good win though.
February 5th, 2013 at 11:54 PM ^
I did think it was humorous.

that was last year...we just beat ohio

It's not a derogatory jab at Ohio University, it's just how you guys have referred to yourselves before. Or is the name "Ohio Stadium" and Scirpt Ohio just you guys being ironic?
February 5th, 2013 at 11:56 PM ^
showed them how to do it to learn to spell Ohio. Now you want them to try for Ohio State? I think that is pushing things.
February 5th, 2013 at 11:52 PM ^
Why do you guys call yourseslves ohio then? Ohio Stadium. O-H-I-O chant. Your band dots the i in Ohio not ohio state..... So until you guys start calling yourselves ohio state, how bout you lay off.

Really embarassing to see him throw that around when we got upset by the actual Ohio.
Oh well.
February 5th, 2013 at 11:53 PM ^
hoke explained this all last year.
the ohio in franklin county with the criminals for players and cheating coaches whose followers struggle to spell "o-h-etc" is ohio.
the ohio in appalachia is bobcats.

February 6th, 2013 at 12:03 AM ^
As a buckeye fan I really do not have a problem being called ohio nor do I call Michigan any of the terms (scum) that a lot of buckeye fans call you, I just kind of thought beings how the basketball team got beat by ohio u in a fairly large upset in my mind that beilein would look at things a little differently than hoke, didn't mean to make the first comment i made on your site to rub you the wrong way. More of a football guy anyway, just signed up tonight on your site because i read your threads every once in a while and want to comment on some questions/comments i see on here
February 6th, 2013 at 12:17 AM ^
if you're the kind of Buckeye that doesn't use "SCum" and the like, you'll probably do at least okay around here (although you probably know that if you've read threads in the past). Welcome to the MGoBlog.

I kind of agree, it's kind of like "Ohio" for all the reasons mentioned above, the script ohio and ohio stadium, never really understood why some buckeyes get mad about that. I get the whole the point i guess with hoke saying the ohio thing and urban saying the team up north just never understood why any of the fans would be upset about either of them.

It's seriously something I would've found hilarious in elementary school but you'll always see trolls and RCMBers dropping that like they just unleashed the worlds most devastating insult. I really dont get why they think it's so clever.
