Tate- bulking up??
Any news on Tate bulking up? How much has he gained? I heard he got up to 190 once but got the flu and lost 10lbs? This wasn't while in AA was it?
All his lift he worked on water aerboics/quickness. Now he lifts, He should be able to gain muscle and weight real fast, right?
Personal experience: Out of HS I weighed 140-145, and I never lifted. Then after a year or 2 I gained 20lbs just like that. I wasn't working out hardcore like Tate would.
Maybe if he would have grew up LIFTING, he would only be 5'10, 5'11.
I believe in an interview his goal was to sniff the 200 lb. mark by the opener.
i think 195 is a reasonable goal and could see him finishing out his career at the 210 mark.
i once gained 30 lbs. after leaving college and literally never worked out, i still don't understand.
and since then, i've gained well well over 100 pounds. i still don't understand
maybe Tate took Walken's essay on hotdogs to heart, and that explains the bulk.
Weightlifting does not make you taller.
I think you need candycanes to grow taller.
Look at the last sentence that he wrote. What do you think he was trying to say?
that weightlifting at a young age can stunt one's growth.
I undertsnad now what he was trying to say, but, supposedly, Tate is only 5'10" or 5'11". That's why I didn't originally understand what he was talking about.
Not to a realible source I know...
Hm, I believe I said if he lifted weights he would be shorter. Stunts your growth.
What is his actual height? Rivals says 6'1" and Scout says 6'.5", and his myspace say's 6'2"! But then there are people who say he can't be more than 5'10"! What's his real height????
him at 6'1.
saw him in ugos in the union a while ago and he was taller than me. i am a 5'11-6'. i wouldve guessed he is 6'2 or 6'3
I have seen him around campus and didn't think there was any way he was taller than 6'. And if he was 6'2 or 6'3 why would they ever report him as smaller? I would put him in the 5'10 5'11 range. Tops.
slightly under 6'1
I will assume that you have some inside information and therefore take you word for it, but it would be nice if you backed up your argument. I know I am not the only person who has seen him around and thought that he looked shorter than listed.
From about ten feet away he sure looked to be nose to nose w/ me, I'm barely 6' (71.5").
Rule of thumb: go with the shortest reported height. People have an incentive to inflate their height. They have no incentive to claim they're shorter than they are.
I once had a dream where God came to me and said "My son, believe everything on MySpace." 6'2" he is.
Wow, I can't believe someone made a video called "Tate Forcier: The Missing Piece to the Puzzle." Yep, the kid already has a tremendous amount of pressure on him; just in case he's not feeling it yet, let's kick it up a notch....
100% chance that the some of the same people who are pimping him as our savior will be amongst the jerk-offs who boo the shit out of the kid when he makes freshman like mistakes. I just hope that Tate is prepared for it.
Never will I boo him. I can tell this kid is something special. and to the people who will, get out of Michigan stadium.
One thing that bothers me is the inordinate amount of abuse that Sheridan gets here and other places. That he's not tremendously talented is there for all to see, but the kid's busting his ass along with the four stars, and doesn't deserve the shit any more than the stuff Navarre got.
sure he probably busted his ass, but doesn't amount to very much big picture wise. The quarterback at Michigan is a highly scrutinized role, and let's face it he's a sub-par quarterback who should never have and should never again take a snap for Michigan. He made some absolutely aweful throws...and while I didn't personally boo him, I never want to see Nick "the human white flag" Sheridan anywhere except the sideline with his hat backwards.
I think I booed someone twice in the three years I was at UM.
1) John Navarre in the 2001 OSU game. Student section (well, what there is of it, as it's two days after Thanksgiving and OSU fans have bought about 20 to 30% of the student section tickets) starts chanting "we want Gonzo" in the first half after one of many consecutive terrible possessions. Gonzo proceeds to come in and have the ball snapped to him in shotgun formation when he wasn't looking for a safety. No more booing of Navarre in that game.
2) Our kickers in the 2002 Washington game. Especially Neinberg after he missed that chip shot late. Then Brabbs went and pulled a miracle.
he doesn't get nervous...
He needs a steady diet of high protein shakes and meat, along with some mass/bulk building weight training from Barwis and he can easily put on 10 pounds by September.
Maybe 15 pounds if he throws in a piece of coconut cream pie every night.
That's the beauty of the Gittleson Plan. You don't need to understand a pizza.
Saw him at the Union Wendy's last night buying a Fatburger. If he keeps that up he'll be 200 in no time.
Which is why its better to gain than lose :-)
What is the fascination with Tate's height and weight? there is no magical combination that he needs to meet. There is no ideal weight that is going to make him invincible and free from threat of injury. This is not wrestling, if he weighs 150 or 210 he keeps his eligibility.
It's rare for the amount of FAIL in the phrase "would of" to be eclipsed by the content of the rest of the sentence in which it is located.
Well said.
almost immune at this point.
but true.
annoys me but I hate that nobody seems to know the difference between then and than anymore.
There, their, and they're. Another good one.
By the way, I feel like the incidence rate of the phrase "would of" has skyrocketed around here lately. Is this the new thing?
Affect and effect.

But the topper is "its" and "it's". I seriously think I see them misused more often than used correctly.
Tate Forcier.
Doug Flutie.
Joe Montana.

When I came to Michigan, I was 6'3 160lbs. I was a lifelong hockey player. I had a high metabolism; I ate ev-er-y-thing (said like "for-e-ver!" in the Sandlot). However, as you've probably put together, I was scrawny.
Crazily, I put on 40lbs. my freshman year. However, this wasn't fat; the fat came later in life--expectedly and laughably. So, given that Tate is analogously scrawny and presumably has a comparably high metabolism, I wouldn't be surprised if he put on 30lbs. this year.
180+30=210
I'd mark 210 as a longshot. However, I'd also mark 200 as easily attainable.
By the way, nice edit, but if you're going to do that, you might as well fix the rest of that sentence. Start with changing "grew" to "grown," and make your way to removing any correlation between height and weight lifting.
Gramer Nazee Re-Strykes!!! Your a pre-madonna who could of been grate, its factz yo. Butt ay could care less.
(Did I get all of them?)
Toss in a "Your a looser" for good measure, and I think you're set.
Ah yes, one of my favorites.
How did we loose to Toledo? RichRod must run a lose ship.
I never ever want to ride on a "lose" ship. I don't know what it is, but it sounds like a bad experience.

Yeah, don't do that, you'll get a bad affect they're.
I think the Titanic was a lose ship.
Did last season's football team inadvertently board a lose ship? That would explain a lot...
They did so advertantly when they hired DickRod because they knew he was a looser.
RR's coaching record doesn't matter because Pat White.
