OT: Anyone want to buy a Michigan fan?
And we thought some of our fans were bandwagon... The winning bidder at this auction on ebay wins her support as a fan for their team...
She has 3 bids so far. Here's the auction description:
Where do I start?? I am 22 years old and have always been a diehard Carolina Tar Heels fan. I have been with them through the good times and the bad. But they are getting to be more than I can handle. Roy Williams is not treating the fans how they should be treated. I am sick of him. So I am looking for a new team to pull for. You are bidding on my loyalty to your team. I will be buying new shirts and items to support my new team with the money from the winning bid. You are not buying me but my support for your team. The starting bid is $250.00, good luck and Happy Bidding!!
Just wow...

Also, has anyone bid so far? When does the bidding close?
Edit: Derp.

It is hard to see. It was my first link attempt so I didn't stop to see if I could bold it or make it stand out more.

makes me feel dirty. Like I should be talking on a street corner to some guy in purple faux-fur.

Amazon Prime is free for students, duh.

Damn I thought you were selling like a cooling fan or something along those lines. I was not expecting this.
I also am a huge Tar heel fan (only hoops). I wish I could meet this guy so I could punch him square in the jaw. For you guys who do not know, fans called in a radio show in Chapel Hill a few weeks ago where Roy does his usual show at and were asking why they lost to Ga Tech so bad and other nonsense, and Roy pretty much told them to go fuck themselves. Roy later apologized but some fans were outraged. Apparently they were so mad they sold their loyalty. This guy is a joke.
edit: didnt know it was a female...scratch the punching in the jaw part but still ridiculous.

I got the female part from the news article.

That's what she said!

"I also am a huge Tar heel fan (only hoops)."
That is so lame.
February 4th, 2011 at 1:39 AM ^
Ya that's so lame. I cant believe someone could have a favorite college basketball team that wasnt the same as his favorite college football team. That is unheard of.
February 4th, 2011 at 4:01 PM ^
Unfortunately front-runners like yourself are all too common. Doesn't make it any better though.

Can't help myself: she's not onsale at Wal Mart, so she's not our type.
No, seriously: she's pissed at Roy Williams? As in, two-national-championships-at-UNC Roy Williams? And this isn't good enough? She better have a real horror story from meeting the guy personally (and I've never gotten the impression that Williams is a dick) because it sounds like Ohio State is more her speed.

It's the ACC and it's basketball. They expect NCAA bids and lots of final fours. They won't get that this year and they're ticked. It reminds me of the fire Tressel article I saw about 2 years after OSU beat Miami for their title. Couldn't believe it then, can't now.
February 3rd, 2011 at 10:12 PM ^
I'm not for sale.

I got the female part from the news article that mentioned the auction.
"The 22-year-old woman, who prefers to remain anonymous, is auctioning off her loyalty on eBay."
February 3rd, 2011 at 10:15 PM ^
2 national titles in 5 years and shes that mad? I have never met Roy personally but do have a friend who lives near Chapel Hill and said Roy can be an asshole when criticized. I dont think he would ever do something that horrendous to make a person "sell their loyalty" to a team.
February 3rd, 2011 at 10:25 PM ^
I wish I'd thought of that. Who couldn't use a little extra cash?

Sounds like something the Devil would say to Dr. Johannes Faust.

She's borrowing her idea from a Bengals fan, who did the exact same thing a couple weeks ago (makes much more sense for a Bengals fan than a Tar Heels fan, obviously). I believe the winning bidder was a Steelers fan, who paid about $500.
February 3rd, 2011 at 10:56 PM ^
What an awesome idea considering people have put up money for it.
February 3rd, 2011 at 10:59 PM ^
I am willing to bet that some of the cash will go to feeding her cats. Just a guess though.

i've recently begun watching How I Met Your Mother and...
"boobs?"
"but seriously... boobs?"
February 3rd, 2011 at 11:36 PM ^
after our 3-9 year I think it was, a Michigan fan got bought by Ole Miss. Wonder how that's working out for him.
February 4th, 2011 at 12:14 AM ^
that I stalked her ebay to see what she bought. It seems as if she has an obsession with cookie cutters. I bet she's one of those girls who guys describe as having a good personality...
February 4th, 2011 at 12:26 AM ^
I offered to cheer for Sparty. The best bid I got was a six-pack and a burned couch to drink it on.
February 4th, 2011 at 1:20 AM ^
Bummer
There are two parts to a woman. The hoo-hah (her) and the life support system (the rest).
I'd rather have the hoo-hah.
February 4th, 2011 at 5:48 AM ^
Sigh.
February 4th, 2011 at 9:56 AM ^
100% positive feedback.
February 4th, 2011 at 11:01 AM ^
If I bought her support, which I wouldn't, I would leave her bad feedback and say she didn't cheer hard enough to make Michigan win.
