Brandon is in Dallas Interviewing Miles AND someone else...
According to Sam Webb and Scout.com.
RT @23gene: Miles is not the only coach Brandon will be speaking with. I'm hearing that a coach from one of this years BCS bowls is a target
Edit: Someone asked for Flight Tracker:

But either way, I don't trust Schad or TigerDroppings.

It's for real? Who are these sources? What is the tail number we should follow on Flightaware.com?
January 8th, 2011 at 11:28 PM ^
I don't know, but why does this feel so, so wrong? I'll support whoever our coach is, but yikes... i'm scared. Someone hold me.
January 9th, 2011 at 12:16 AM ^
I feel all warm and cuddly now.
January 8th, 2011 at 11:27 PM ^
Rumors nom nom nom. I am so full. Must continue consuming, nom nom nom.
January 8th, 2011 at 11:28 PM ^
Does that imply a head coach, or could it be an assistant like Chryst from Wisconsin?
January 8th, 2011 at 11:30 PM ^
DB was pretty direct in his press conference that he thinks head coaching experience is an important qualifier for M's next head coach.
January 9th, 2011 at 1:07 AM ^
Could be. I listen to a lot of sports talk radio down here in Austin where they are hiring more than a few coaches at the moment and he's been down here quite a bit.
January 8th, 2011 at 11:29 PM ^
it kind of sounds to me based on all of this probably fake info that we are getting miles, gruden, stoops, or patterson (last two being longshots). not that i know anything. but if any one of those four are our worst case scenario i think my heart palpitations will go away.
January 8th, 2011 at 11:32 PM ^
Come on DB, Stoops is the "everybody STFU" move.
January 9th, 2011 at 12:11 AM ^
miles, gruden, stoops, or patterson (last two being longshots).
Gruden isn't a longshot? Be realistic.
January 8th, 2011 at 11:29 PM ^
Les MIles and his D-coord?
January 8th, 2011 at 11:39 PM ^
We have a winner!
January 9th, 2011 at 12:17 AM ^
Not according to the OP. It's apparently Miles and a coach involved in one of the BCS games. My guess would be Patterson.
January 8th, 2011 at 11:29 PM ^
Patterson the most sensible guess since he's in Fort Worth and has been viewed this whole time as a darkhorse candidate.
January 8th, 2011 at 11:40 PM ^
yes - DFW airport is directly in the center of Dallas and Fort Worth (not just a clever name.) Patterson could pick DB up from the airport.
January 8th, 2011 at 11:52 PM ^
in question that people are following landed at Love Field, which is where most of the executive jets fly into Dallas. Its on the Northwest side of Dallas, further from Ft. Worth than DFW.
either way, I doubt where they land is a hinderance, since if you have a corporate jet at your access you probably can grab a car when you need one.
January 8th, 2011 at 11:46 PM ^
January 8th, 2011 at 11:29 PM ^
He better stay up all night! Get'er done.
January 8th, 2011 at 11:43 PM ^
It's only 9 something Dallas time!
January 8th, 2011 at 11:48 PM ^
DFW airport is not the only major airport in the D/FW area. And the time in DFW right now is 1050. I was really wishing we would watch U of M beat Kansas tommorow and have DB storm the court and announce our new head coach.
January 9th, 2011 at 12:16 AM ^
(DB rushes in out of breath during play) " (huffing, hands on knees) Sorry (puts hand up)...I got em... I found our coach (huge sigh, almost high pitched), here he is!" (in walks Miles, Patterson, Gruden, whomever, but not Hoke) (coach waves to the crowd and crowd roars) "alright guys, as you were" (DB straightens tie and walks out)
January 9th, 2011 at 2:57 AM ^
haha well he could do this at the Ohio State game Wednesday which is also a home game for Michigan... He could then make an announcment like Jim Tressle a couple years ago...Its almost better to do it against OSU bc they are our RIVAL and its a higher ranked team and the crowd will b much mre into it bc of it being a conference/rivaly game...i kno i repeated myself
January 9th, 2011 at 12:48 AM ^
Dallas is in the Central time zone.
January 8th, 2011 at 11:30 PM ^
I would honestly almost rather have K.C. Keeler than Les Miles and all the crazy that comes with him.
January 8th, 2011 at 11:35 PM ^
January 8th, 2011 at 11:31 PM ^
I am tired of hearing about supporting the coach! Does anyone really believe that RR would of had a better record if everyone was all in? He was over his head! I defended him until I was blue in the face! I wanted him to work out but looking back he was just out of his league and left with no upperclassman
January 8th, 2011 at 11:32 PM ^
Let the cards fall were they may...............
January 8th, 2011 at 11:33 PM ^
I'm 2 for 2.... but Seahawks & Jets won..... finally,...the underdogs come through......
January 8th, 2011 at 11:41 PM ^
Hawks would have ot win the Super Bowl to end the season above .500.
January 8th, 2011 at 11:33 PM ^
We should start every thread with RR for "Random Rumor" or BS for.... ya know...
January 8th, 2011 at 11:35 PM ^
None of this matters, as Jon Gruden will be announced as Michigan's new head football coach tomorrow at noon.
Some dude said it on twitter, so it must be true.
January 8th, 2011 at 11:37 PM ^
DB has shy bowel syndrome, and can only 'go' on home turf. Hence the detour to Scottsdale; not related to BCS game at all.
Dallas 'interview' is actually a brisket-eating contest between Patterson and Miles; winner to face Hoke in a pie-eating contest on Sunday. Winner gets Michigan job.
January 8th, 2011 at 11:52 PM ^
Hoke has the best circumference of them all. Patterson looks a little thick too, though. Miles will have a threesome with Patterson and Hoke's wives during this pie eating contest, thus winning by neutralizing the rest of the field, though.
You could say, he'll win a whole other kind of pie eating contest.
January 8th, 2011 at 11:43 PM ^
The stress and waiting is driving me mad!
January 8th, 2011 at 11:56 PM ^
I stressed out about it for the last week, now am ready to just have it over so it stops mucking up recruiting. Resigned to Hoke or Miles, with a young Coordinator a possibility ... putting my faith in DB to not throw gas on the current greasefire.
January 8th, 2011 at 11:43 PM ^
Please God Chip Kelly !!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 8th, 2011 at 11:46 PM ^
and then Miles in 74. Can anyone confirm that? Were they ever on the same team together?
January 8th, 2011 at 11:55 PM ^
Domino's Pizza CEO and former Michigan player David Brandon did respond to an e-mail request for an interview, and addressed an assertion by Dufek that Brandon teamed up with Carr to convince Martin to shy away from Miles.
"Well, that's absurd," Brandon said by phone. "I'm not on the committee and have not had any kind of official role in the search and in fact, had no conversations with Bill Martin from the time soon after Lloyd's announced retirement until well after the whole Les Miles deal."
Brandon - who played with Miles at Michigan, but said the two have not kept in touch - added that he thought "Les deserved to be a very viable candidate in that search."The Domino's CEO also said, "I'm as interested as everybody else is in understanding not only what's happened, but where are we going to go from here."

If we hired Stoops (which I don't think there is a chance in hell will happen), Brandon can literally introduce him, wait for Stoops' stereotypical new coach speach, and then pull him pants down and tell everyone to kiss his ass.
January 8th, 2011 at 11:52 PM ^
And why can't he do this with any other coaching candidate?
January 9th, 2011 at 9:48 AM ^
Because no one would do it for them. Since Harbaugh left, the only two names I've even heard speculated on that would cause a "OMG he's our coach I want to marry him now!" good freakout across the Michigan community would be Gruden or Stoops. Patterson wouldn't be too far behind. Miles and Hoke would cause a lot of bickering.
