Rocko Khoury's brother?
Strolling through prospects on rivals, and a name jumped out at me..Khoury
Could this be rocko khoury's brother? They're both from traverse city so there's a good shot, but he's only a freshman right now so there's time before he enters the recruiting scene.
Lists michigan as one of his schools though so that's interesting, he's one of the only 2014 prospects that actually have a list of schools.

plays defensive tackle, and is 6'2! as a freshman!

sorry could not resist

I'm pretty sure I saw Rocko get some playing time against OSU. Can someone confirm?

I can confirm that he didn't.

On an unrelated note, Isaiah Bell didn't see the field for a single solitary snap this season, I don't think that bodes well for his future playing time.

He is also a redshirt-freshman that played safety in high school and now is playing middle linebacker. I don't think him not playing this year says anything bad about his future. I actually would think that is what is expected when switch positions and are so young.

Not so much that he didn't play linebacker, he didn't play anywhere, anytime. He didn't play one down, special teams, blowouts. Zero zip zilch nada. Kinda strange, considering the state of our defense and special teams.

Yeah, well Michael Cox is averaging 8.9 yards a carry in his career, and he only got the ball 6 times this year.
And Kenny Demens was an afterthought on defense prior to suddenly putting the MLB job on lockdown.
So I'm not sure that Bell's redshirt freshman season can be completely held against him.

But I heard Cox was switched to LB halfway through the season? Is that correct?

didn't hear about that, but it definitely could make sense.. we're loaded at RB, and if he's athletic enough, I could see the coaches trying to let him boost a position in need like LB

I think he was one of the guys that was out of shape entering fall practice. I worked the fall practice for the btn. and he looked out of shape. he was one of the guys running after practice. and he is a red shirt freshman. I hope he steps up in the bowl practice.

I was apparently confusing him with Ricky Barnum.

as I also had a WTF? moment when I saw that jersey on the field during the telecast.......despite what Magnus and his fancy charts say.

Yeah, he's already a pretty big kid for a freshman in high school, no doubt he'll keep getting interest, especially with a brother at Michigan.

This is not his brother, but is a pretty good player for a freshman. He goes to St. Francis and Rocko went to Traverse CIty west his last year.

St. Francis is a highly regarded school that has a better football tradition than West (at least recently). Justifying it's not his brother because he goes to a different TC school is an assumption and we all know what happens when we ass-u-me. If you know Rocko's family then you are right, but I would think you would mention it in your post.

He could be at St. Francis just because they are a school that has good football tradition and always seems to play for a state title. They also produce quite a few kids that go D-1 for being a smaller school. Max Bullough, Joe Kerridge, Matt Zakrzewski (Indiana LB) all went to Saint Francis, as well as others. Rocko started out at TC Central but transferred to West because they have a better football program than Central. The oldest brother, Vince, was at Central all through high school. Could just be the parents wanted to put him in the best position to get to the next level.

I went to high school in Boyne City, who is a traditional rival of St. Francis. In 1996 I had the pleasure of being on the field when we beat them. 14 years later still one of the greatest days of my life.

also played in that game, though he was only a sophomore. Boyne always played tough, and even though my teams never lost to them, I have three still-not-fully-healed broken fingers and a lot of lost brain cells to remember them by.
I think Mr. Khoury is now on St. Francis' football coaching staff. They are a family of vegabonds having moved from the public Central to public West and finally to Catholic St. Francis.

Tate, Chris and Jason Forcier can't possibly be brothers since they went to different schools.

From TC. They're not brothers. However, they are cousins.

especially if he's from the Wolverine side of the family.

Jake was in the gifted and talented program at TCAPS pre. K through the 6th grade. Moved to Saint Francis due to traditional math curriculum taught there rather than follow the core plus math curriculum taught at the public school. I'm sure the athletic tradition at Saint Francis didn't hurt.
As I remember reading in the local paper, Rocko transfered to T.C.West because T.C.Central had no Head football coach from the end of his Junior football season, and still no coach in place at the start of 2nd semester with no hire publicly in sight. The athletic director commented in the paper that they were in no hurry to hire, and that the universities didn't need film, his word was good enough. Rocko's family moved him to West because no one was handling/helping him with recruting, film requests and the advise/ things a prospect needs his head coach for, for example what camps should a kid with no offers attend in Feb. and March., etc. The fact of the matter is that the move to West was hard for Rocko (his brother Vince was an All State Linebacker at Central) And I can't imagine leaving my friends since elementry school to go to the rival school and start over. There was a comment his Father made in the paper the stuck hard with me "If we wanted to win a state championship they would have transfered Rocko to Saint Francis". They stayed in the TCAPS System! It appeared T.C. Centrals administration fumbled through that move. West Seems to do a nice job helping their footballplayers, to this day.
Back to Jake, he started all varsity games as Freshman 2010 on the D.Line, and was the leading tackler of all D.Lineman and 4th overall on the Team. Also plays fullback and tight end. The kid weighs a lean looking 268 (per. october certified wrestling weight). Very high motor, very smart, student of the game (his dad is a coach, played college ball and USFL, his godfather is Scott Kowalkowski of N.D. Nat. Champ. team and 12 yr. vet. in NFL), Jake uses his hands extremly well for a high school kid, is coachable, intense, quick/ powerful and VERY strong (won all city elementary shot and possibly has record, has his elem. sch. record which was over 20 years old, and holds middle school shot record, Rocko has Wests shot record) ....Has that nastiness like his cousin Rocko. The kid has a lot of tools in his toolbox.
I watched him in his first varsity game tackle the running back from Grand Rapids Catholic Central (going to Eastern Mich. Univ. on scholarship) two concurrent plays for large losses, hit the back like a rag doll, impressive. This is a football family, just ask coach Deromedi.
Jake was a D.Line MVP award winner at the 2010 U of M High School Camp. Very good friends with the Bullough boys and their Dad ( also a very good coach at Saint Francis H.S.), But also most important Jake is VERY much a good person, and a U of M Fan,or so it seems by the colors he wears.
It should be fun to watch him continue to grow, and develop as both a player and a person! Hopefully Coach Hoke and Staff like him as much as Coach Rod's. said they did.
A side note, I'm sure if Jake or Rocko read this stuff they will be impressed with (Wolverine in 312's) opinion about their family.
