McGloin is so gritty....what a smart football player.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:39 PM ^
So, I think we can all feel a little bit better about our pass D against Penn State. It was still bad, but this walk-on QB seems to be the real deal and not just a fluke that beat us badly.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:43 PM ^
Yep, any McGloin=Sheridan comparisons are inaccurate since, you know, McGloin != death
November 13th, 2010 at 4:40 PM ^
Right now:
ND 21, #14 Utah 3, early 3rd
Georgia 21, #2 Auburn 7 after 1
Penn State 14, #9 OSU 3, late 2nd

wow, it's opposite day...
November 13th, 2010 at 4:45 PM ^
Elaine : Ah, George, you know, that woman just looked at you.
George : So what? What am I supposed to do?
Elaine : Go talk to her.
George : Elaine, bald men, with no jobs, and no money, who live with their parents, don't approach strange women.
Jerry : Well here's your chance to try the opposite. Instead of tuna salad and being intimidated by women, chicken salad and going right up to them.
George : Yeah, I should do the opposite, I should.
Jerry : If every instinct you have is wrong, then the opposite would have to be right.
George : Yes, I will do the opposite. I used to sit here and do nothing, and regret it for the rest of the day, so now I will do the opposite, and I will do
something!
November 13th, 2010 at 5:10 PM ^
Gerg should use this reasoning.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:44 PM ^
Make that ND 28, Utah 3....
November 13th, 2010 at 4:40 PM ^
Andy Dalton throws a beautiful out route. Seriously, it just brings a tear to your eye to see that completed over and over again that well.
TCU is on the board. 14-7 SDSU still ahead.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:41 PM ^
I say run McGloin on a naked bootleg for the 1st down.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:52 PM ^
The only type of bootleg I would run with McGloin is the fully-clothed variety.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:43 PM ^
Georgia is handling #2 Auburn.
San Diego State is up on #3 TCU.
Notre Dame is walloping #14 Utah, TCU's only "solid" win this season (Oregon State, at 4-4 in a weak Pac-10, doesn't count anymore).
Here's hoping the results hold. The worst outcome would be TCU coming away as the sole victor: we would know they're a fraud as they take the second spot in the MNC.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:45 PM ^
It would be Boise's dream day. If Auburn and TCU lose, they might be able to sneak into the title game.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:52 PM ^
I don't particularly want to see that. On the other hand, it would be nice to have Oregon crush them to settle the mid-majors-in-the-MNC debate. If it's going to be anybody, I think Boise deserves the accomplishment more than the others (TCU, Utah).
November 13th, 2010 at 5:11 PM ^
Michigan plays "Whale's Vagina State" next year so let's hope that's not a preview.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:44 PM ^
21-14 Georgia still... does anyone want to go the to NC game this year?
November 13th, 2010 at 4:46 PM ^
We've got Boise.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:47 PM ^
That ref is scared of the old man smell.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:50 PM ^
Agrees
November 13th, 2010 at 4:48 PM ^
terrible spot, full yard short.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:48 PM ^
If a national title game is played between TCU and Boise St. and no one watches, does it still count?
November 13th, 2010 at 4:54 PM ^
Another one: does either team have enough fans to count as a fan-base that "travels well"?
November 13th, 2010 at 5:09 PM ^
I don't think we have to worry about that matchup (thank God!). Looks like Oregon has a pretty stable grip on a National title game.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:50 PM ^
I hate how Musberger pronounces the word "measure" like "Maysure."
November 13th, 2010 at 4:52 PM ^
Thank you. I HATE it when people do that, it just doesn't sound right.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:50 PM ^
Horrible pass interference call on good coverage against a pass that wasn't catchable leads to a TCU touchdown. Beautiful fade ball from Dalton. SDSU has been hosed by bad officiating at least twice this season in game changing situations. Hopefully this isn't a third.
TCU misses PAT off left upright. Lulz.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:50 PM ^
Dammit. I think you have to take the points there, and not push your luck on 4th downs.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:50 PM ^
Run straight ahead young man.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:52 PM ^
Are they booing or saying Boom? Tressel ball.
November 13th, 2010 at 4:54 PM ^
I was saying BOO-urns
November 13th, 2010 at 4:57 PM ^
Paterno looks really bad. He can barely even make facial expressions anymore.
November 13th, 2010 at 5:02 PM ^
Notre Dame's Center is in law school? That's seriously impressive. Notre Dame is a solid law school and football takes a lot of time.
November 13th, 2010 at 5:06 PM ^
I always want OSU to lose, but if they lose then it will just be MSU and Wisco at the top of the Big Ten which would give MSU the Rose Bowl. Unless, of course, Iowa beats MSU which I hope they do especially with the way McGloin has been playing.
First and foremost, I want whatever will make the best outcome for Mich. Then I want whatever will hurt OSU/MSU.
Thoughts?
November 13th, 2010 at 5:16 PM ^
Well it would need to be PSU beating MSU, not Iowa again, but your point is correct.
November 13th, 2010 at 5:18 PM ^
Iowa did beat MSU--they stomped them. MSU has Purdue next week, followed by @ PSU. Wisconsin is @Michigan followed by Northwestern.
November 13th, 2010 at 5:19 PM ^
Meant Penn State...
November 13th, 2010 at 5:15 PM ^
So I just got my Lazy-Boy couch delivered. How is this football relevant? Well, my ass is not leaving this couch for the rest of the weekend so I can overload on football. Thank you Lazy-Boy and thank you wife for visiting your sister in Boston.
November 13th, 2010 at 5:20 PM ^
TCU is starting to take this over in all facets. Other than the 42 yard play on the first drive, SDSU doesn't have another first down in 3-4 other drives now. TCU's offense is rolling now. 20-14 as TCU has 3 unanswered TDs.
November 13th, 2010 at 5:21 PM ^
In celebration of the current PSU-OSU score, even if PSU doesn't hold on:
November 13th, 2010 at 5:23 PM ^
I'm enjoying thinking about all those Ohio State fans getting all twitchy at the Shoe. Our win was good, but an OSU loss would be great. Although I was thinking that if they lose today, the chances of us winning (very low to begin with) will be virtually non-existent. No way they lose to Penn State and us at home this year.
November 13th, 2010 at 5:28 PM ^
That CBS reporter chick is smokin!!
Edit - after a google search....Ehhh, she's alright
November 13th, 2010 at 6:01 PM ^
Who was it Tracy Wolfson, or is there somebody new? I'm pretty sure Wolfson went to Michigan.
Edit: Wikipedia agrees. Take that SEC!
November 13th, 2010 at 5:34 PM ^
Penn St. decided against playing defense all of a sudden
November 13th, 2010 at 5:40 PM ^
TCU's OL coach had a heart attack in the first mintues of the game. That distraction is probably why they fell behind so quickly. Supposedly he's in stable condition at the hospital. No one knew anything on TV until the half time break.
November 13th, 2010 at 5:42 PM ^
Any one hear Tony Barnhardt just say that he's an optimist when it comes to Cam Newton because "College football survived two world wars and a bunch of bad people."
November 13th, 2010 at 5:46 PM ^
Yuh-oh, a Penn State TAINT puts OSU up 17-14 with about 4:30 to go in the 3rd
November 13th, 2010 at 5:50 PM ^
In the Auburn game that ball touchd the kickers foot just after initial contact. Not that the SEC or CBS will do anything but try to protect their #2 team.
November 13th, 2010 at 5:59 PM ^
Seriously, this is pathetic. What a slobber job by two of the worst slobberers in the entire game. I hate Verne and Gary.
November 13th, 2010 at 5:52 PM ^
If OSU scores on this possession, it's ballgame.
November 13th, 2010 at 6:05 PM ^
That's a big interception by Penn St. Nice throw Pryor
