Is DB having a presser on the NCAA?

Submitted by Ziff72 on

I was curious that I haven't heard about  Michigan hold a "Piss off" press conference today.   I would have thunk DB would be out front declaring a great day blah blah blah before he got 94 idiots  questioning him about  RR's job security.

Is Michigan just going to let this end quietly?

The Michigan football team and coach Rich Rodriguez committed major violations of NCAA rules governing practice hours and limits on the number of coaches, but the breaches were not nearly as serious as alleged in early, LARGELY UNATTRIBUTED MEDIA REPORTS and they resulted no substantial harm to student athletes, the NCAA said Thursday.

An interesting quote from the findings (from annarbor.com):

"But the committee wrote that "though serious," the overage was "far less extensive than originally reported and that no student-athletes were substantially harmed."

It's interesting that there is a split in the headlines that are reporting this story.  Some play to the positive, like "NCAA rules in favor of Michigan, Rodriguez"; other (guess who) lead off with "Michigan to get Third Year of Probation."  It's really quite amazing...

They're all idiots.............thank you DB................

Is it just me, or does RR seem small and slow standing next to Brandon?

I didn't have a chance to meet Don Canham during his prime.  How is he compared to Bo?  Bo, even during his later years, ouzed charisma and confidence.  I can't imagine Canham being a wet noodle like Sailor Bill.

How come someone else in the media hasn't called these guys out in any of the questioning?

Something like: "Dave Brandon, with all of the false reporting and fabrication done by the Free Press on this witch hunt, and with no regard to actually finding out the facts, what type of apology do you expect from the Free Press for putting the University through this expensive and time consuming process?"

This makes all journalists look bad, I would think that someone inside would take them to task a little. Maybe yet to come, we'll see.

Journalist aren't going to shit on their own, it's just the way it is.  The same way people on this blog still want to defend R.R., even though his record is horrible and he has shown no real sign of improving the defense.
