I'm rooting for Uconn, not because wvu fans are douchebags though, WVU seems to be chocking right now, and that horsecollar call was awful.

I'm rooting for UConn because WVU fans are douchebags.
October 30th, 2010 at 12:17 AM ^
They are, indeed. Their pain, tonight, is delicious.
October 30th, 2010 at 6:51 AM ^
Well, you know what i meant =P, aside WVU fans being douchebags, at least our schedule has strenghten up, and as a bonus we've got to see wvu lost :)
October 29th, 2010 at 10:45 PM ^
Make us look good.

This game raises the question, who would win in a match between UM and WVU? I've to say that i like our chances, and that's weird...
October 29th, 2010 at 10:50 PM ^
Saturday night will make us look better. About the game specifically UCONN. They are running a Spread read option attack. how about that?
October 29th, 2010 at 11:00 PM ^
just proves that the Big East is WEAK....all the 3 and outs, dropped passes, and penalties by both teams is driving me nuts...I am not gonna lie- this is tough to watch....
October 29th, 2010 at 11:00 PM ^
Can Fraser's receivers drop any more of his passes?
October 29th, 2010 at 11:07 PM ^
... and still, no adjustment by the WV coaching staff. Very odd, because it's working for UConn.
October 29th, 2010 at 11:07 PM ^
huge punt with excellent coverage
October 29th, 2010 at 11:07 PM ^
This game is terrible. Both teams are just bad. WVU has fallen off the map since RR left, its incredible. UCONN is just bad.
October 29th, 2010 at 11:08 PM ^
October 29th, 2010 at 11:09 PM ^
Woo let's start playing for overtime at the 3:00 mark and go from there.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:11 AM ^
you didn't see the WVU/LSU game. they started playing for overtime, it seemed, at the 8 minute mark. only they weren't tied. it was some of the crappiest football i've ever watched between two "top 25" teams
October 29th, 2010 at 11:09 PM ^
I love that UCONN isn't even trying to call time outs or score in regulation. 2 time outs and almost a minute left. Pound the line 3 times.
October 29th, 2010 at 11:23 PM ^
Well, after WVU fumbles on the goal line in overtime it looks like it will work out for UCONN.
I wasn't home until halfway through the 4th. How did Frazer get in the game? I thought a freshman was going to start?
Edit: According to the box score Frazer played the whole game. Now looking at Uconnblog, I was apparently thinking about last week. http://www.theuconnblog.com/2010/10/21/1766205/endres-no-longer-a-husky-box-will-start-saturday Box (the redshirt freshman) was ruled out for this week because of a concussion.
October 29th, 2010 at 11:23 PM ^
Frazier took back the starting job as of Wednesday. Not sure if the freshman was injured or team violation punishment. I thought I heard about something but wasn't listening to announcers closely.
UCONN wins for the first time over WVU ever. Now 1-6.

UCONN wins for the first time over WVU ever. Now 1-6.
If you take a look back at some of the Michigan-UConn preview material, there is a good reminder of just how remarkable that is. When Rodriguez was at WVU, WVU didn't just beat UConn, they destroyed them.
October 29th, 2010 at 11:18 PM ^
LULZ FUMBLE IN OVERTIME AT THE GOAL LINE.
I fully expect UCONN to miss a FG in the second half of the frame.
October 29th, 2010 at 11:18 PM ^
THANKS FOR NOT HOLDING ONTO THE DAMN BALL
October 29th, 2010 at 11:18 PM ^
I feel like the Buffalo Wild Wings in Storrs that doesn't exist has a bar tender that keeps pushing the button for more overtime.
October 29th, 2010 at 11:22 PM ^
The kick is u...................

At least the furniture stores tomorrow will see an increase in sales...
October 29th, 2010 at 11:24 PM ^
and Bill Stewart Loses....
Thank you UCONN

second straight Big East loss may be Bills last nail in the coffin

welcome to TWIS
October 29th, 2010 at 11:27 PM ^
Where's the guy who was talking about how great Syracuse/Shafer are because they were able to beat West Virginia?
October 30th, 2010 at 12:05 AM ^
I was thinking the same thing. Look at WVU's stats all season, and you see an offense that cannot move the ball outside of Devine. Let's see how the Orangemen fare against a slightly better Cincy team.
October 30th, 2010 at 9:07 AM ^
Slightly better Cincy team? How do you figure? Schedules are comparable, but the only common opponent Cincy lost to by 8 and WVU beat by 2 TDs.
As far as Syracuse, it's still a great win for Syracuse to beat WVU. As of a year or two ago, there was still no way they'd win that game. The way they beat WVU was not crappy football like was played last night. Their win was clean and convincing on the defensive side. They've still got some growing issues on offense as they switch back to a more traditional system, but that's not the side of the ball winning them games so far.
October 30th, 2010 at 3:06 PM ^
Syracuse beat those Bearcats 31-7. The Orange are BOWL ELIGIBLE.
October 30th, 2010 at 10:30 AM ^
I'm right here buddy, and I'm still ecstatic with what Marrone and company have done so far to turn around the SU program.
October 30th, 2010 at 10:45 AM ^
No kidding. WVU has just been pretty much terrible all season. This is a WVU team that lost to Syracuse and should have lost to a terrible Marshall team earlier this year. That was the game where the Marshall kicker missed the FG in overtime (it went right over the goal post).
October 29th, 2010 at 11:27 PM ^
Losing to a team that Rich Rod pasted will not site well in Morgantown. Think Bill Stewart will be facing pitchforks when he returns home
October 29th, 2010 at 11:31 PM ^
Bill Stewart is a really nice guy, but in no way is he a good football coach. He's in way over his head, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him fired after this season.
October 30th, 2010 at 10:31 AM ^
Like someone else I know...
October 29th, 2010 at 11:32 PM ^
When your defense holds a team to 16 points, you should expect to win. My, how the WVU offense has fallen. I know that White and Slaton are gone, but that was ugly.
October 29th, 2010 at 11:35 PM ^
and that kid is good.
October 29th, 2010 at 11:48 PM ^
Their defense has not given up more than 21 all season. They're ranked 5th in scoring D (~13pts/gm) and have 3 f'ng losses! I'm shocked that this has happened with Stew at the helm.
October 30th, 2010 at 10:32 AM ^
I'm shocked that this has happened with Stew at the helm.
Really? I don't think many people who have paid much attention to WVU the last several years are particularly surprised by it. Stewart was handed a boatload of talent and did very little with it and then proceeded to fail to fill in much talent behind those players. Devine and Sanders, as freshmen under Rodriguez, were far more productive players than they are as seniors under Stewart. That really says something.
October 29th, 2010 at 11:35 PM ^
Man that was a painful game to watch.. neither of those teams can move the ball..
Frazer has got to be one of the worst D1 QB's i have ever watched in my lifetime personally.. If they didn't have todman my god would that team be abysmal
October 30th, 2010 at 8:39 AM ^
have you also totally blocked out 2008?
October 30th, 2010 at 9:28 AM ^
I figured i would get jumped on if i mentioned anything about sheridan and threet, but to both of their defenses.. they would of been much better players in a pro style system..
October 29th, 2010 at 11:35 PM ^
Why did I take so much pleasure in that loss? That was right up there with....nah, I won't say it. Both of those teams looked awful.
October 29th, 2010 at 11:39 PM ^
Never seen so many non ironic "UNACCEPTABLE"s in one thread.

"I NEVER thought that I would want Fraud back. After two and a half years of the worst coach in college football history, I would beg for him to come back."
October 30th, 2010 at 1:50 PM ^
Wow that is a fantastic thread. My personal fave:
Stewart is by far a better man than Rich Rod. And Stewart by far has better intentions than Rich Rod. BUT Rod is WAY MORE OF A COACH. I never thought I'd say it but if he gets fired from Michigan and makes a public apology, I'd take him back. It'll never happen but I'm just saying.
Uh, guys? I think if RR gets fired from UM he's not looking to return to WVU, 'kay?
