Wait, I mean- Illini noooooooooo!!!
October 16th, 2010 at 12:45 PM ^
Scheelhaase throws a pick.
October 16th, 2010 at 12:47 PM ^
"Cory Lidget has been legit." Ugh.
October 16th, 2010 at 12:48 PM ^
Too legit, too legit to quit?
October 16th, 2010 at 12:48 PM ^
Wow, great stop by Illinois on third down. MSU going for it?
Edit: Now this is the typical Sparty we all know
October 16th, 2010 at 12:48 PM ^
Could Warner Bros./Dark Horse Comics potentially send Sparty some type of cease and desist for completely ripping off the "what is your profession" line?
October 16th, 2010 at 12:50 PM ^
Should go all Sin City on their ass!
October 16th, 2010 at 12:48 PM ^
AHAHAHAHA! BALLSY! SPARTA!
October 16th, 2010 at 12:49 PM ^
Robbie Hummel is out for the year. Ouch
October 16th, 2010 at 12:55 PM ^
For MSU any more? It's going to be a sucky year to live in this State.
October 16th, 2010 at 12:49 PM ^
Sparty might need a half to wake up after the emotions of last week but I'm sure enjoying their craposity right now.
October 16th, 2010 at 12:49 PM ^
suffer a letdown after playing us? Nothing scientific here, but teams seem to make 0 mistakes when playing us then look like a JV team the next week.
October 16th, 2010 at 12:52 PM ^
Could they look worse?

More legitimately, I'm going to have to INSIST if OSU plays us tough they MUST look like crap in their next game...
October 16th, 2010 at 12:53 PM ^
"How'd". Whatever works.
October 16th, 2010 at 12:52 PM ^
Our D can make a lot teams look really good.
October 16th, 2010 at 12:57 PM ^
Blown coverages, fumbles at the line, lofting crappy passes right to defenders, dropped passes, critical personal fouls etc etc etc
We never ever get those breaks
October 16th, 2010 at 1:01 PM ^
Sparty missed a few coverages last week and did fumble at the line once. They also had at least one personal foul (on 1st and goal from the 2). We just didn't take advantage.
October 16th, 2010 at 1:01 PM ^
Do you honestly think Indiana is good and just had a let down against OSU?
October 16th, 2010 at 12:49 PM ^
Cousins fumbles the 4th and 1 snap to turn it over on downs
October 16th, 2010 at 12:52 PM ^
I keep thinking the Hass Avacado ads are satire.
October 16th, 2010 at 1:22 PM ^
October 16th, 2010 at 12:55 PM ^
Purdue up 14-0 (yeah it's Minnesota). They looked good beating NW away last week too. Do we have any sure wins coming up on our schedule? ugh We need that 6th win.
October 16th, 2010 at 12:55 PM ^
2 miserable seasons, mounting losses to rivals, lesser foes wielding slingshots, continued, relentless dong shots, badgers, brahs, buckeyes, haweyes all clamoring with speak of the demise of all that is maize and holy.. Well, our young defense reminds me of another lost cause so many years ago. As the battle of Bunker Hill proved to the world that the young, untested American Patriots were a lost cause that surely would give up and slink back to their farms, George Washington would not let the Pariots admit defeat. They pressed on. And today, under dire cicumstances no less important, so shall we press on. We shall press on with a belief. A belief that we will not waiver! A belief that our young Defense will improve! A belief that the greatest University the world has ever known will again strike fear into the souls of all that dare to question her greatness! Perhaps today, as we battle to fight off the doubts in our own minds, the words of Thomas Paine ring as appropiate as they did so many years ago...
"THESE are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their University; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. This adversity, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value."
Today, let us not be denied.

History or English major?
October 16th, 2010 at 12:55 PM ^
say I'm impressed with Illinois D.
October 16th, 2010 at 12:57 PM ^
I was too, until that awful missed tackle.
October 16th, 2010 at 12:58 PM ^
That may seriously be the only missed tackle of the game for them.
October 16th, 2010 at 1:00 PM ^
No I know, they've been good, I was just upset that it could've cost them points.
October 16th, 2010 at 12:56 PM ^
There's the type tackling that MSU got used to last week!
October 16th, 2010 at 12:57 PM ^
Cousins is limping. He's been hurried more in 1.5 quarters than all of last week.
October 16th, 2010 at 1:01 PM ^
The f*ck?
October 16th, 2010 at 1:02 PM ^
I think that's Sid from Toy Story.
October 16th, 2010 at 12:59 PM ^
Illinois has dominated most of this game. Hopefully they can turn that into TDs soon.
October 16th, 2010 at 12:59 PM ^
Why does Dantonio insist on continually using his QB?? He's exposing him to sure injury!
October 16th, 2010 at 1:03 PM ^
How will Cousins possibly stay healthy this year??? All that staying in the pocket is sure to wear down on him. I seriously doubt his ability to stay healthy.
I don't even know if I'm being sarcastic.
October 16th, 2010 at 1:00 PM ^
To be a Big Ten Icon?
October 16th, 2010 at 1:08 PM ^
Yeah, that's annoying. I didn't like how the "Big Ten's Greatest Seasons: 1969" had a segment on PSU as well. I guess next year we'll see specials on Johnny Rogers and Tommie Frazier?
October 16th, 2010 at 1:11 PM ^
I wouldn't be surprised to see those Cornhuskers in here before the list is done.
October 16th, 2010 at 1:01 PM ^
Maybe I just can't admit that Illinois has a good D, but has MSU even faced an average BCS D until now? I think DRob's errors and our truly horrible D made Sparty look WAY better than they are.
October 16th, 2010 at 1:03 PM ^
Our D makes all offenses look good.
October 16th, 2010 at 1:06 PM ^
It would be classic Sparty to completely screw up the week after a big game. I think they have 4 personal fouls and almost half the second quarter is still left.
October 16th, 2010 at 1:07 PM ^
Illinois has been KILLING Sparty on 3rd and longs. Killing them!
October 16th, 2010 at 1:13 PM ^
There's another one. Scheelhaase is pretty awesome for a frosh.
October 16th, 2010 at 1:07 PM ^
Watching Illini you can see how SLOW we are D...look at Martez Wilson compared to Ezeh...it's light years apart at their foot speed.
Martin and Mouton have been the only 2 guys who have been for the most part consistent this year.
For as fast as are O is...the D is equally a slow. if you really watch we have been in position to makes plays on D, but we just very slow in general or just dont have the football IQ to make the play quickly.
Also, I like Greg Jones....but man I see why the kid stayed in school, he is a mid 3rd rd at best pick.
October 16th, 2010 at 1:13 PM ^
They have a couple of athletes, but beyond that, they seem a lot less confused at the snap than we typically do.
October 16th, 2010 at 1:07 PM ^
Can we stop talking about seepage? It's making me queasy.
October 16th, 2010 at 1:07 PM ^
Huh huh -- "seepage coming in the pocket"
October 16th, 2010 at 1:09 PM ^
A family broadcast?

Keep that up and the FCC will come calling... lol
October 16th, 2010 at 1:10 PM ^
Sparty's going to get a late hit/hitting a defenseless player soon. They consistently fly in late and after the player is on the ground.
