I'll give them a hint... it starts with "D".

Wow, I love the coverage but what's next. Asking the South Quad cooks what he eats for breakfast. The MSM is so extreme, he cant throw and is a running back, oh wait, how does he generate his speed and there is no way to stop him. I guess that is expected from MSM. I hope all this attention is not embarassing Denard. He seems like such a humble person.

They did do something like that when Michael Phelps was all the rage. I remember them interviewing local restaurants about what he ate.

Positive coverage is better than negative, but he is still a student-athlete and I worry about him making it through school. I had a hard enough time making classes at Michigan and I wasnt an athlete. I guess expected from MSM.

It was Benny's diner on Industrial.

I'm surprised their research didn't start and stop with "He's from the South."

Robinson brings "SEC SPEED" to Michigan!
September 16th, 2010 at 10:42 AM ^
sorry but southern players only keep their sec speeed when they stay in the sec.
When a player from sec country comes north his speed is relegated to fast considering everyone else is slow.
If a player from the sec comes north and then transfers back to the sec he regains his sec speed.

Someone bring in a physics professor, I'm still not convinced it's possible for someone to be this fast!

My coffee tasted a lot better until this post brought Skip Bayless back into my life.

Hilarious avatar. Nice touch up. That is so wrong, but still funny. Sorry to the kid, but whenver I see it, I just have to laugh. Still best thread on a otherwise bad day.

I've been reading this blog for about 3 years now and have never laughed as hard as I did while reading that thread. I don't know who this kid is, but he will never pay for a drink at a bar i'm in.
September 16th, 2010 at 10:39 AM ^
Whenever I had a hard day, I would look that thread up. I dont think the kid was too happy, but honestly, I could think of worst things than to look like Jim Carrey or Tom Brady.

Can you remind me the name of that thread, that picture caused my co-workers to ask me, "What's so funny?".

I think its called picture perfect Denard. I havent checked in like a week. But it seems to be gone.
September 16th, 2010 at 10:42 AM ^
Here's hoping the subsequent media overhype that will be continuing to come Denard's way all season doesn't affect him. If anyone can handle it, it definitely seems he's got the right makeup for it.

They seem to think his arm is much weaker than I thought it was. Is it because I'm comparing him to other college QBs, and they're comparing him to pro QBs?
September 16th, 2010 at 11:19 AM ^
This might be the first time ever, and I'll probably get negged for admitting this, but I do actually agree somewhat with Skip. Denard does not project to being a high pick QB in the NFL Draft. I love this kid and by no means am I knocking him, but if he does get drafted he will most likely be playing another position. This of course is as of now, he may develop tremendously in the next 2 years. I don't know if RB is his future position though, maybe more Percy Harvin Slot but I do see him in the NFL. He is just to electric!!

hahaha.
everyone loves DROB on this board. I could honestly care less about his draft stock when he has 3 years of playing for Michigan left in his career. After his SENIOR year I will surely be talking up Denard in whatever he wants to do.
I didn't think his arm is below average (its not chad henne), but man I guess some of those throws i saw on a rope just never happened.
September 16th, 2010 at 11:37 AM ^
The fact that his arm is not Chad Henne's may be exactly why Tacopants has submitted a transfer request.
September 16th, 2010 at 11:45 AM ^
I'm just goin to go hide now because I will never be able to show my face on this site again!!
lol
I totally agree that his draft stock is meaningless. I was just surprised that Skip was the one actually saying something I could somewhat agree with. I don't think his arm is below average either. His deep accuracy is not great right now but that will come with experience. I love everything about DROB, from his play on the field to his attitude and humbleness off of it.

Denard's speed is infinate and can never be slowed.
