It's weird how mad people get that college football players finally realized the ridiculousness of this system.

No, no NFL team is going to ding him. If Applewhite doesn't want the distraction, don't let him on the field. But to draw the line at telling him to take a jacket off is peak fake toughness.

I will do my best, buddy!

10/23/2018 - 3:16pm 1. He gone. Hope he heads…

1. He gone. Hope he heads into the Draft fresh off a CFP appearance.

2. I think he's time-sharing next year.

3. No. But hopefully Shea is handing it off to Tru Wilson up 35-0 before D-Mac comes in.

4. Frost and I don't think this is even close. Frost is going to win the Big Ten West within 3-4 years. I think it's more likely Fleck is fired within 3-4 years than Minny winning the Big Ten West.

10/23/2018 - 3:12pm Chris Johnson is potentially…

Chris Johnson is potentially the fastest RB in NFL history; Charles isn't far behind.

I'm pretttty sure Higdon isn't as fast. With that, Higdon is the sh*t. I think he will find a role for a few years at least.

10/15/2018 - 1:40pm Actually, agree re onside…

Actually, agree re onside kick. Not sure what it looked like on TV, but seemed like we handled the onside from Wisconsin terribly - looked like 1-2 players passed on snagging it to let Collins go up and get it.

10/03/2018 - 1:42pm [whispers] the post was…

[whispers] the post was about a nice gesture Chase is doing for a sick friend, and you responded to talk unsportsmanlike penalties... Get a grip.

07/19/2018 - 3:21pm This is awesome;…

This is awesome; particularly for us Michigan-raised (UD Jesuit) UM grads

07/04/2018 - 5:54pm You lived through the Otis…

You lived through the Otis Reese recruitment? What was that like, grandpa? ;)

06/13/2018 - 3:27pm I'm going to give it some…

I'm going to give it some time. As of now, I liked the old a lot better. But I imagine I'll get used to this soon enough (and hopefully there will be some de-bugging).

One thing that is a little old man yelling at cloud of me, but I hate the white background for everything below the banner. I find the layout more cluttered without some color contrast between the main text area and the margins.

04/30/2018 - 10:02pm Oh FFS

04/19/2018 - 11:46am Having not stayed there in awhile

I thik the Palmer House rap is that it's got the old-school charm but without being properly maintained.

If you want an old-school vibe with modern upkeep, I'd suggest the hotel at the Chicago Athletic Association.

04/17/2018 - 11:48am Sweet Pete

That title is anything but vague to regular readers of this here blog!

04/14/2018 - 2:53pm Wouldn’t be a message board

If we weren’t second guessing the decision of people armed with far more information than we could ever imagine.

03/07/2018 - 2:30pm MSU has some holes, and I don't like how Izzo uses JJ

But, you tune someone out for lack of credibility if they pick a 29-4 team in a Power 5 conference to win it all?

Miiiiight be going a touch too far. I'm guessing your view is influenced by watching them most closely against UM, who is really freaking good and also a bad matchup for MSU.

I won't have MSU getting to the E8 in my brackets, but one doesn't have to squint too hard to see a team stocked with talent that went 29-4 and, at their best, ran UNC off the court, have a shot at a run.

02/04/2018 - 2:46pm Damn

That Dylan spits some hot fire.

01/09/2018 - 2:25pm Good idea.

Will do.

edit: As a reminder to those of y'all who work for big companies, check your company's internal giving page. Mine happens to match donations, and The CFIDs Assocaition of America (OP's link) is listed as a match option.

01/09/2018 - 12:55pm Ace - thanks for sharing.

I hope you find a foothold very soon.

01/08/2018 - 8:56pm The only thing I needed less than JD’s take on hockey fighting

Was mgoboard’s takes on JD’s take on hockey fighting.

Reminder: it’s cool to not have an opinion on some things, people. Refreshing even.

12/30/2017 - 11:53pm We can’t handle it so hard

We post whiny ass comments like yours.

12/24/2017 - 11:47pm Was ready to hate this post

But that’s a really good story. Thanks!

12/20/2017 - 4:11pm I think you mean the Fackel.*

Carry the fackel.

12/04/2017 - 12:05pm Haloscan was a thing of beauty

I still laugh at the posting during the RichRod coaching search. Schiano will always be one of my favorite posters.

11/20/2017 - 1:11pm Just disinvited him from Thanksgiving

I got you, OP

11/14/2017 - 10:49am I’m going out on a limb here

And guessing that someone who casually refers to Detroit as seeming third world isn’t the same sort of person who has spent much time in it (outside of going from point a to b for whatever limited purpose you have in the city). Just a big ole hunch.

10/17/2017 - 7:36pm The number of 250 lb HS LBs

That any HS RB recruit will face, let alone pick up on a blitz... is probably zero.

10/10/2017 - 10:03am You

09/25/2017 - 10:40pm I will never understand why

People are taking the bait. I don't pretend for one second that kneeling to protest the very obvious mistreatment of people of color by LE is offensive to my military family members. I don't think you should pretend that either, but whatever.

09/04/2017 - 11:55am Agree. One thing re "the narrative"

I see a lot of seemingly angry posts about the "media narrative" of this being a young team with few returning starters. Yours isn't angry, but a lot of others are. Not sure I get the use of narrative as an automatic pejorative. This *is* a young team. It does have *very* few returning starters. That's not narrative; it's fact. And it makes the opening game, the prep by the team and staff, and the trust the coaches placed in so many young players even more impressive to me.

08/06/2017 - 12:26pm Sorry for the piling on

And I relate to the desire, but don't do it. It's pointless. I took my 4 (now 5 yr old) to the spring game and then a regular season game, and even though he's a young sports nut, even 4 borderlined on pointless.

If you just want to take your baby for the sake of staying she was at the big house at such a young age, take her to the next spring game. But taking a 1 yr old into a stadium of 108,000 people is not worth the photo op and story, I promise.

07/18/2017 - 11:03am It's nothing like those other two things.

I get that some offers may be "offers," but the significance of a reporter offer is 1,000 > texts. Beyond that, evaluating offers is useful; it's why the Mgo crew repeatedly points to 3 star recruits with high end offers as saying something about something.

I get your point, you just overstated the living shit out of it.

05/21/2017 - 6:40pm Fan base that reveres tradition... reveres tradition.

Hard to understand that?

05/07/2017 - 8:48pm He does not.

Not similar QB at all, but agreed that his arm looks college ready already.

04/29/2017 - 5:58pm OK

04/13/2017 - 5:19pm Just logging in to say

What a fun, easy-going crowd we have here today on the ole blog!

03/15/2017 - 2:45pm Just not nearly enough being said about how Turgeon looks like a

skinnier Jim Calhoun.

Sort of disappointed in everyone.

03/09/2017 - 3:37pm REMARBAKE LEVEL ACHIEVED

02/13/2017 - 11:01am I promise you

It's ok to just take a joke sometimes. Really.

01/27/2017 - 11:45am Fun fact

OP's subject is actually Sean Spicer's twitter password.

01/13/2017 - 10:15am If only, brother

I don't mean that sarcastically, but no, I'm not sure there is a meaningful esscape from racial injustice. Those who *can* escape from it resent it being brought up in all arenas, I grant you. But for those, the actual injustice -- not the mere discussion of it -- is truly inescapable.

01/02/2017 - 1:24pm You thought that was pretty

You thought that was pretty bad?

The pedantic scolding on the board is at an all time high.

01/02/2017 - 8:53am Agreed. I understand that Ace

Agreed. I understand that Ace gets tired of the baseless knee jerk criticism of Beilein... but when you need to start your game recaps "if you look past the result," consider whether you might be stretching a bit yourself.

It was an email, not via social media (the specialists tweeted it out). The email is insanely shitty, but rather than post it here and seem to imply some hope that it will "hurt" OSU, let it be a reminder to shout down the many (way too many) asshole fans we have who act unhinged towards players after losses, too.

12/31/2016 - 1:25pm all of them.
Not trying to be

all of them.

Not trying to be snarky, but every frosh/soph who played yesterday are likely to be major parts of 2017 given all the starters who are seniors/NFL bound.

Seemed like Lavert Hill got a lot of meaningful snaps yesterday. Know he got hit with a PI, which was legit, but thought he looked like he belonged on the field, which was good.

I just

you might be right.

I just don't care one way or the other, and can't for the life of me understand why others do so much. If he was hurt, bummer. If he wasn't, bummer that he felt he had to lie about it when - as anyone who watched Butt hobble off with a potentially torn acl likely felt as well - most could prob understand why he sat.

I agree that

so... um....

I agree that people who question Peppers shouldn't. But your post is far more similar in tone and unreasonableness as as those you attempt to call out. Take a breath, man.
