UNC Commit Marquise Williams to Visit
Per Rivals
The 6-3, 218-pound Williams had scheduled an official visit with Michigan for the weekend of Oct. 9 before pledging to the Tar Heels. According to Michigan target Kris Frost, who is close friends with Williams and talks with him frequently, the nation’s No. 12 dual-threat quarterback prospect still plans on following through with those visits plans.
“I don’t know if we are going to be driving in the same car, but I know we are going to be up there at the same time,” Frost said.
“He’s just like me and trying to make the right decision. Him being a quarterback he had to make the decision quicker than I do, but really he is on the same track and trying to make a decision. Of course he committed, but at the same time he’s still going to make these visits, see how the atmosphere is. I believe when he goes to Michigan he’ll see how big the atmosphere is and start to like it as much as I do.”

Glad he's coming up. But I really like Sousa (as much as one can like a recruit having as little info. about as I do). Would we really take 2 QBs this year?

I agree with both points. Sousa pretty exciting, plus QB is a position that doesn't need a lot of depth for this class.

Hmm, unfortunately this boat might have sailed when we took Sousa.

It looks like there is a lot of shady stuff going on there that is going to be exposed by the ongoing investigations.

you think that the head coach's nanny writing papers for star players is shady?

The sports radio down here is going nuts, and they are telling UNC fans to "prepare for the worst".
Meanwhile, Jon Tenuta is supposedly really ramping up NC State's linebacking corps ....

Is there any way he could be moved to a different position? RB, WR, etc? I haven't heard of him so just wondering. Either way though, if we can get Frost I would be excited.

but judging from his HL & body structure, I'd say TE & or an H-back role would be his only conceivable options on O. He is a dual threat QB, but he's more in the Sousa mold than Denard, Devin or Corn Jones

If they need a lift, and can get me onto the sidelines for the MSU game. I'll be happy to drive!

Given what's going on with UNC football right now a lot more of their recruits might start looking very seriously at other programs.

to get recruits on campus. They could just fall in love with U of M and A2.
We really need Mr. Frost!

While its nearly impossible to predict what 17-18 year old kids are thinking, its really nice to see Frost doing a little bit of recruiting for us. To me, thats the most telling (yeah I know) action a recruit can do to show how interested he is in a school.

While I thought that we would only take 1 QB in this class, Williams is one hell of a prospect. Also, with Rich burning DG's redshirt in Game 1, there may be a little more interest in a second QB, especially one of Marquise's talent. I would still like to fill other more pressing holes on the team (LB and CB) but can't say that I would be as against it as I was when I thought DG would redshirt.

I didn't know QB's had to make the decision quicker than others. Pryor and Denard did not subscribe to that thought process.
