T-Wolf at Big Ten Media Days
T-Wolf delivers:
schadjoe Michigan CB Troy Woolfolk: "When I see 'O' shaped objects I get instantly angry."
schadjoe Woolfolk: "I don't eat Cheerios, Froot Loops or Apple Jacks."
Joe_Stapes Troy Woolfolk: Denard has been able to jump ahead of Tate during the summer, Tate has work to do to catch up during camp.

Ban cheerios from my kitchen...
I'm wondering if T-Wolf taught his dog to get angry at the OSU fight song, or their stupid chants? Now i'm wondering if I can teach my dog the same...

And no Toasty O's either "Betcha can't taste the difference"
August 3rd, 2010 at 11:22 AM ^
no Honey Graham Oh's, even though they have "good things in the middle" and are "always a great value!"
August 3rd, 2010 at 11:50 AM ^
Yeah those things always cut the shit out of the roof of my mouth. Just like that bastard Captain Crunch.
Great value my ass.

Dogs are remarkable trainable so it could happen.

he refuses to use the word "The" as well.....

Not only has Denard passed Tate on the depth chart, but T-Wolf has passed Roh as my favorite player on the defense.
August 3rd, 2010 at 11:45 AM ^
The thought of eating Cheerios has caused me panic attacks ever since I saw the movie "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids."

Hopefully the other members of the secondary can step up, and Woolfolk can continue to build on last year. He was improving every game towards the end of the season last year, wish him nothing but the best.
Its great to see things like this (the cereal and O ban) from our players, love them speaking up about the rivalry.
Go Blue!!!!!

The comment re: Forcier and Robinson is one I'd rather not hear about from players. Let Rich Rod make those comments.
August 3rd, 2010 at 11:01 AM ^
Maybe that was his way of using his senior leadership to motivate Tate even more.
August 3rd, 2010 at 11:42 AM ^
I just think that sort of thing can grow into unwanted factions within the team (Team Moxie vs. Team Dilithium). Even if Troy believes it and even if it is true, if Rodriguez isn't saying it publically, players shouldn't be saying it publically.
August 3rd, 2010 at 12:10 PM ^
Judging by the amount of support for Denard this off-season (by sophomores [Roh] and seniors [T-Wolf] alike), I think Team Moxie may have one player on it. Everyone seems to love Denard, with no love for Tate. And these are the guys who see Denard and Tate throw everyday in skeleton drills, which we know the coaches cannot watch.
August 3rd, 2010 at 12:52 PM ^
rodriguez says it then he's tipped his hand, thus negating the whole competition at every posistion mantra. Which I wholely believe in. It makes everybody better to compete daily.
No, RR should not criticize any player publicly especially if it's on voluntary practice time which he cannot observe. (remember the whole practice gate NCAA sanctions thingy) Secondly, critisism comming from a peer is a different internal dynamic than critisim from an authority figure ie peer pressure.
So yes Troy is a Senior leader and should call his teamate out if he's not carrying his "own water" as it were.

The way I see it is the players can use anything for motivation...if this is true, then hopefully Tate realizes it and it lights a fire under him!
August 3rd, 2010 at 11:31 AM ^
Looks like Tate has new material for his wall of shame.
August 3rd, 2010 at 11:36 AM ^
The truth hurts.

"I have no idea... come hit me up after the second week of camp and I'll tell you." Said all 3 should have the opportunity to play. That could be the standard line, except change second week to last week. Or after the first half at UCONN
Taking sides is one of the dangers of dual QBs. No egos hurt if everyone says both play

Love that the team seems to be having fun this year. I've always felt that teams who stayed loose and relaxed made better decisions, bonded together, and had better results. Last year the team seemed hungry too, but because they were so young they played with such raw emotion. That was a real roller coaster ride of a season for the team and fans.
August 3rd, 2010 at 11:28 AM ^
every once in a while to see how potent this offense can be. And one thing I always notice is how loose WVU looks. They're just out there playing ball. I'm glad to see our guys doing the same.
Playing the press conference loose is certainly a good start.

The ladies on campus better not show him their O-face.
August 3rd, 2010 at 12:11 PM ^
She gets around....like a record
ooh ooh
August 3rd, 2010 at 11:15 AM ^
This is the attitude that I want, playing those bastards has to mean more than just a football game. It's good to know that guys like Troy understand that, and are hopefully passing it along to the young guys.
August 3rd, 2010 at 11:22 AM ^
well said Troy
August 3rd, 2010 at 11:26 AM ^
but I didn't realize that with one statement, he could become pretty much my favorite player.
August 3rd, 2010 at 11:26 AM ^
There is a reason toilet seats are oval shaped like that O down south...
August 3rd, 2010 at 11:34 AM ^
Hopefully we'll see a T-Wolf shirt in the mgostore soon!
August 3rd, 2010 at 11:38 AM ^
although it makes me think of Teen Wolf the movie
August 3rd, 2010 at 11:56 AM ^
A 3 T-Wolf Moon shirt?
How about a shirt with Troy #29 surfing on top of a van like in the movie! "T-Wolf" written on the side of the van!
"WOLF, WOLF, WOLF, WOLF" for # 29.......... Like in the move!
If he gets mad at "O" shaped objects how can he like froot loops or apple jacks?
Way not to pay any attention.
He does NOT eat Froot Loops or Apple Jacks anymore.
Woolfolk had a lot to say about Tate.
https://www.michigandaily.com/content/woolfolk-quarterback-competition-appears-have-new-leader
"Denard has been out there through the thick and thin and been out there all the time regardless if he's hurting," Woolfolk said. "And Tate, he tries to come out, but he's not as consistent as Denard is. And that's allowed Denard to jump a little bit ahead of Tate and I think that Tate's going to have to do a lot of work to catch back up to Denard in camp this year."
On players who don't show up for voluntary workouts:
"I personally have a lack of respect for them," Woolfolk said. "The outlook on them is kind of diseased. Like you don't want to be hanging around those people because they have bad work ethic. But at the same time, it's my role to try to persuade them to come out more."
"The only reason he's (Tate) not really labeled as diseased is because of the way he was able to carry the team last year before we started losing. People still trust him a little bit, but he's starting to lose that trust."
Wow.
Edit: sorry, I didn't take the time to look and see if this had already been discussed. I'm so fucking stupid!
