It's not Clemson. It's Penn State. M can make it a three-way race. He's also not a game-player by all accounts. If he's visiting then he's taking a serious look.
His track times are stupid. 10.82/100 and 21.55/200. Defensive End.
Someone in the B10 East will get a freak athlete...and he's not a lock for OSU.
Sounds about right to me. Although Bama also puts DL in the NFL on the regular, the top DL coaching in the NCAA appears to be at the three he's looking at.
Per Bill Greene and Steve Wiltfong, PSU and OSU are leading right now.
He's probably going to OSU.
There have been reports from different sources that the following schools lead: PSU, OSU, Clemson. Seems like nobody has a good read.
There is also one constant on everybodys list and its osu. Its either osu first with clemson or psu second, or clemson first with osu second, or psu first with osu second. Which makes it really seem like its osu first. Combine that with osu having all 11 crystal balls spanning relatively large time frame and it really seems like it will almost certainly be osu. Anything can happen, but it looks like an uphill climb for Michigan in this one.
as being "cool" toward Clemson. OSU, PSU, and Michigan are "warm."
If he doesn't choose Michigan, I'd rather him go to Clemson or some other out-of-conference school.
We already have 2 Top 100 DEs in this class in Hinton (SDE) and Herron (WDE) - assuming Hinton stays on the DL and Herron sticks in the class. If we could somehow pull in Harrison and Mazi Smith at DT that could be an epic defensive line. Ok - I won't get hopes up.
FWIW Allen Trieu said on his 247 podcast yesterday that he doesn't expect Herron to stick with his commitment to Michigan. Sounds like he's trying not to burn any bridges before he gets admitted to Stanford. All that said I don't think it's a big loss given his recent camp performances.
Also from the podcast sounds like George Karlaftis is another option along the DL for UM. Land of 10 and Brian Dohn also had articles about DT Jeffrey M'ba, a french player who visited the team in France and who is playing this fall at St. Francis in Maryland for Biff Poggi. Appears really intriguing like Welschof was last year.
In the don't count on it category, sounds like Marcus Hicks is OU bound at this point in time.
once he gets into a college S&C program.
So basically what you are saying is we will finish second to either OSU or PSU
Thing about Hinton is he has a dad who played and probably much like Devin Bush Sr., he doesn't want his son going to a place where playing school is considered an annoyance.
if we can get him
