Most of the announcements are during the game.. so it's pretty quiet. Gallon/Turner are impressing.

According to Sam Webb Turner is turning heads and will probably make an immediate impact at Michigan. Gallon is impressing everyone to.

Turner is our highest rated commitment (hopefully that will change with BIg Will). Because he committed so early and never wavered, and his team had a below-average season, there's been little buzz, but there is reason for excitement among Michigan fans with this kid. All indications are he will definitely be on the field in September.

With our shortage of quality DB's, he almost has to be on the field in the fall. He said in an earlier interview that they want him to play as the slot corner. I think Turner will be a better DB than Cissoko over his career.

He was also probably the best athlete on his team, so there wasn't a big chance for him to showcase himself as a CB. He played quarterback and safety. Everyone knew he was good, but this is a chance for him to show how good he can be as a corner.

Everything I read said that Turner was a RB. I never heard any mention of him playing QB.

Those were highlights from his junior year. As a senior, he played running back because the team had an actual QB in 2008.
A quote from Rivals and Turner's coach:
"Turner also performed as a tailback on offense this year. Although relatively new to the spot, the senior racked up roughly 1,500 yards on the ground.
'He hasn't played running back and it was just exciting to watch him there,' Hall said. 'We don't play a light schedule here at Massillon. We play the best teams, and consistently he's been an explosive player for us.'"

Regardless, he's going to be a good player. I'm looking forward to seeing him play for the next four years.

Right, and most recruiting sites evaluate the better kids off of their junior year highlights, and stats. So, my response was that they didn't know how good he was at corner, because he never showcased that....
