It's currently at 2036.

02/17/2009 - 12:08pm Rodriguez ran a pass-happy

Rodriguez ran a pass-happy spread at Tulane with Shaun King, so I assume the same would have happened. But yeah, 5-7 or maybe 6-6 if we were really lucky. Injuries would have still sucked, etc.

02/17/2009 - 11:20am I'm setting my bar at about 5

I'm setting my bar at about 5 wins. I realize this is a process and we're not there yet, maybe not even halfway. But if Tate's accuracy is even solid, we're not going to see him sailing the ball over players heads when they're wide open. He's going to be better passer and runner.

02/16/2009 - 7:01pm Rodriguez likes to have 4-6

Rodriguez likes to have 4-6 good QB's to work with, and I assume he won't go Terrelle Pryor and focus on one guy. Christian Green, Devin Gardner, Bolden? I'm sure the QB board is chalked full right now.

02/16/2009 - 4:13pm They would have had 6, with

They would have had 6, with one incoming freshmen.
So for the 2009 season they will have 4.

02/16/2009 - 1:59pm Where is this wildcat coming

Where is this wildcat coming from? It is used primarily by pro-style offenses as a wrinkle. Aside from Tulsa most spread teams don't really use it.

02/16/2009 - 1:57pm He'll be up here for the 7v7

He'll be up here for the 7v7 camp this summer, I know that much.

02/16/2009 - 1:56pm Nah, he pitches balls in

Nah, he pitches balls in practice and makes the first D look good.

02/16/2009 - 11:37am I laughed a lot.

I laughed a lot.

02/16/2009 - 11:08am I can't complain if he does

I can't complain if he does actually transfer. More depth/security is nice. Who knows his reasoning (if this is all true).

02/15/2009 - 5:32pm Well he's played in a

Well he's played in a multitude of offenses.. lol.

Junior Hemingway is known as "June the Goon"... Toney Clemons goes by Clem Vaughn for some reason? Eck.

02/10/2009 - 3:04pm Have fun without a

Have fun without a quarterback or any semblance of a passing game!

J/k.

02/09/2009 - 9:14pm Ryan Jelley (the author of

Ryan Jelley (the author of that) is a pretty good guy he is closer to the program than most of the kids that write there. But most of what he writes is with rivals/scout help. So take it for what it is.

02/09/2009 - 6:33pm DONT SPEAK HIS NAME!

DONT SPEAK HIS NAME!

02/09/2009 - 6:27pm Agreed. I think Rodriguez and

Agreed. I think Rodriguez and the staff want it to be like this, and ultimately it's not only going to make them a better team, but better men on and off the field. It's a really good sign, there is a lot of positivity coming out of the program since every journalist tries to rip on it.

02/07/2009 - 4:28pm Indeed, they have a solid mix

Indeed, they have a solid mix of 2/3 star talent with one 4 star from Florida (6**, 6***, 1****).

02/07/2009 - 11:28am Good point. Though most

Good point. Though most coaches aren't as arrogant as Kiffin, and I'm wondering if most of it, (if not all) is just flare for the fans/players and alumni etc.

Believe me I wouldn't want to be Kiffin when Florida comes to town...

02/07/2009 - 11:01am He was a solid receiver as

He was a solid receiver as well as DB, so maybe he can do some special teams/returning too (when healthy)?

02/07/2009 - 12:21am Yeah there was something

Yeah there was something about in passing drills receivers were getting hit in the head because they weren't ready for his delivery speed. I hope it's true.

02/05/2009 - 3:01pm Yep. Rodriguez has stated

Yep. Rodriguez has stated many times he wants to grow the team with walk-on's, around 95-100+ players.

02/04/2009 - 7:27pm Kevin Grady is on rivals as

Kevin Grady is on rivals as one of the biggest recruiting busts, sadly. The kid was unstoppable in high school (played against him) and still has talent.. he's just in the doghouse. Permanently. Saw him the other day too.

02/03/2009 - 9:23pm Most of the "Why not UM?"

Most of the "Why not UM?" questions were answered by "Because they didn't offer, or no interest." So technically, we can't lose a recruiting battle we aren't fighting, eh Tom?

02/03/2009 - 9:19pm While you've brought up this

While you've brought up this point many times recently, I don't think it will stop the hysteria that spreads with the commitment of a player like Tate Forcier or Ricardo.

Tate hasn't really responded to anything via facebook (which is smarter, I feel), while Ricardo has been open (which is admirable, but he's a kid, as you said, not a king or whatever). Ultimately, people need to chill out about this stuff. I love Ricardo's personality, but we need to leave him alone. Yeah, it's ok to maybe write on his wall, but enough doubts and "Are you staying blue OMG?!?"

Good stuff Chitown.

02/03/2009 - 8:37pm My claim to fame (some day),

My claim to fame (some day), I was his 3rd or 4th friend when he made his facebook. Lol!

But seriously..

02/03/2009 - 8:01pm While I think we've taken our

While I think we've taken our love/obsession for Ricardo too far, I love the work the kid is doing. He's a really great guy, if you friend him on facebook he'll talk to you, he's the kind of kid we want around Ann Arbor. So I hope he's preachin hard, lol.

02/03/2009 - 7:57pm Or they may grayshirt, where

Or they may grayshirt, where they will go to school (on their own funding) for a semester or year before they gain a scholarship. It's tough to say, I'd be pissed if I was one of those kids.

02/03/2009 - 7:20pm I love how when Baker was

I love how when Baker was asked "Why not UM?"
"Because they're arrogant."

I hope somebody knocks his ass on the field every play.

02/03/2009 - 3:05pm I find myself slightly

I find myself slightly saddened that a coach has to bash another school in order to grab another player. I have no problem with coaches being overly-confident in their schools and program, but that's not something I'd like.

When I was getting recruited my junior/senior year (albeit it was for divison II lacrosse, but the process is similar), coaches weren't bashing others, even when two rivals both recruited me. That's pretty classless. Then again, a lot of coaches aren't about class, it's about the W's for the contract extension.

02/03/2009 - 2:57pm Hoyer- I laughed out loud.

Hoyer- I laughed out loud.

02/02/2009 - 5:32pm Lemming is kind of an idiot.

Lemming is kind of an idiot. Though so is Webb. Neither of them listens to each other.

01/31/2009 - 9:00pm Hubert Davis (the youngest,

Hubert Davis (the youngest, go figure) was the only one who wasn't like "OMG MICHIGAN SUCKZ AND CHEATZ! BAN THEM!".

I liked Bob Knight before, but I'm tired of him sucking ESPN dick. Fuck them all.

01/31/2009 - 6:13pm I have two good friends who

I have two good friends who played against Witty, and a few days ago I asked them what they liked, etc, or didn't like about him.

He was quite regarded pre-injury, and after it nobody expected him to do anything. He came back, played well, and actually helped his team a lot in the playoffs. Obviously, he's not going to step in and guard the oppositions #1 guy. But I think he'll make an impact, whether its as a nickle guy, or returner, in the coming years.

Plus, we need CB's.

01/30/2009 - 3:48pm To be honest I don't believe

To be honest I don't believe what you say (most of the time), but I love reading it. It's strange.

01/29/2009 - 9:02pm He and his family is

He and his family is originally from Flint, and his mother went of U of M, and they love it.

Plus, he's a badass.

01/29/2009 - 4:58pm Really? I played at Forest

Really? I played at Forest Hills Central.
Small world.

01/27/2009 - 8:29pm Seconded.

Seconded.

01/27/2009 - 8:28pm Use rivals. They have

Use rivals. They are legitimate.

01/26/2009 - 4:35pm So Miles decided to give him

So Miles decided to give him a full scholarship then? There was talk about him grayshirting, and that was apparently annoying him.

Oh well, it was a far-chance anyways.

01/26/2009 - 3:09pm Adrian Whitty wasn't a bad

Adrian Whitty wasn't a bad player, he was highly regarded until an injury took most of his senior season. But as articles say, he led his team deep into the playoffs and was excellent on both sides of the ball.

Not a Justin Turner immediate-impact I think, but a possible nickle or dime guy if given time.

01/25/2009 - 4:31pm I love when JT was asked

I love when JT was asked about [other schools] he told them,
"I'm a wolverine at heart, so I told them to bug off".
That's awesome.

01/25/2009 - 1:33pm "I don't wanna be home for

"I don't wanna be home for christmas next year, that's all I gotta say".

Fuck yeah I love this guy.

01/23/2009 - 9:32pm You and your piece of #$&*%#*

You and your piece of #$&*%#* family!
Kidding.

01/23/2009 - 10:59am Well in that case, shame on

Well in that case, shame on ESPN.

01/23/2009 - 10:21am We have offered both Robinson

We have offered both Robinson and Witty. Robinson's coach said Michigan is in his "top 2" but he doesn't know who the other team is. The nice thing is Denard really wants to play with Witty, so that helps us.

01/22/2009 - 3:50pm I think coaches try to stress

I think coaches try to stress for players not to post on forums or read up on things too many times. Of course, if I'm Tim Tebow, I absorb all the internet into my greatness, so there is no escaping.

01/22/2009 - 1:55pm I friended him on facebook a

I friended him on facebook a while ago and asked if he liked snow. He promptly responded (all-caps) "Heck yeah man!".
He's awesome.

01/22/2009 - 12:05pm If Robinson can somehow help

If Robinson can somehow help increase our turnover differential (by god I have no idea how, but I hope), and can teach solid fundamentals, I can see this defense improving.

Does he roam around the sidelines? I prefer that to the ol' booth coaching. Mcgee is just a fatass I can see why he sits up there.

01/21/2009 - 4:51pm He may turn out to be a

He may turn out to be a decent coverage nickle guy. Who knows.
