Second, here is a link to the roster for Minnesota State. Look at the birth years. This is a team of 22-24 year olds—men, in hockey terms. The Big Ten teams, as we all know, are mostly fronted by 18-20 year old drafted prospects. More talented in the longview of things, yes, but that’s often negated by the fact they’re not fully developed. To take one example, Kent Johnson will be a high points producer in the NHL at, say, 23 years old. But right now, he’s still small enough to be managed in a single game by a good defensive opponent. It’s not completely unfair, but that’s the reality. 

Get that degree. A wise person once told me when I was an undergrad that completing a degree, regardless of your area of concentration, shows that you can finish what you started. That’s no small thing for a young person. Study what interests you, keep your eyes open for opportunities, do your level best and go forward with the distinction of being a college graduate.

The reason we aren’t having a regular Big Ten season is because he decided not to do anything to mitigate the spread of the virus. If he had many any effort, if he was halfway competent, we’d have a game on Saturday. I’m sick of this stupid asshole’s negligence, and lying, and refusal to take responsibility for literally anything, and I can’t wait to vote his criminal ass out of public office forever.   

However, his Michigan State erasure is hilarious for many reasons, one being it probably clinches his defeat in the state. If I know one thing about Sparty fans it’s that they will never forgive you for not knowing they exist

The full tape needs to be reviewed but Hayes looks serviceable for now, and will be very good down the road. Michigan is gonna be strong at tackle for the next *several* years. The line is back to 1990s levels 

This game was essentially a scrimmage, there would be absolutely no purpose to giving any running back, particularly a true freshman you are going to need to be healthy and strong come November, even a moderate workload. Pitch counts. 

A reassuring result yes but Army and the other service academies, when they’re not atrociously bad, tend to play to their competition, good or bad 

Barwis has earneda very strong rep in the hockey world. Started working with hockey guys when he arrived at Michigan and looks like he found a good match.
