Talking Deflategate to kids

Today my 7 year old son said he hated Tom Brady. When I asked why my 5 year old chirped in “because he’s a cheater.” Evidently some kid named Dylan told them about deflategate. I told my kids:

1. Tom Brady went to Michigan and Michigan players don’ cheat.

2. Brady will have played in 8 Super Bowls and will have won 6, more than any other player.

4. Their little friend Dylan is a douche bag and should shut the hell up.

What do tell your children about Tom Brady?

5 year old to throw a dodgeball right at Dylan's head.  Then, while Dylan is laying on the ground crying, your 5 yr old walks over and whispers "Deflate that!"

The Pats and Brady are the real Duechers and not som 5-7 yr old. They have been caught multiple times crossing the line. Once again Brady w always be a Michigan man to me but he's just as guilty as the others and continues to deny and play dumb.

The same things you have, but add:

“If you watched the game when the ‘deflated balls’ were discovered, Brady lit up the colts worse in the 2nd half. How is that explained?”

Also:
“People hate winners.”

I’ve got my son loving TB and defending him to all his douche friends. Since we live in TN, too many haters of TB because they’re all butt hurt that Manning wasn’t the GOAT and they all cling to the “cheater” mantra to hopefully get someone else to believe it.

I told them they have to chose between science/facts or politics.

They immediately understood politics vs independent facts and science like: The NFL commissioner paying a law firm to support what they predetermined vs science and science, the MSU administration hiring a friend of the board to prove the administration didnt know anthing about larry Nasser vs an independent investigation, or the politicians vs scientists on climate change. Politicians can make up whatever they want and get a politically motivated congressman to mislead so they can claim their innocence. Fortunately these folks believe in science and facts.
