Tried to bring this into the Izzone, they refused to allow it in the building. Nice going @michiganstateu. pic.twitter.com/QIVCKhMebK

At this point I don’t see how her holding on doesn’t just make it much worse when she is inevitably forced out.
New leadership in these cases always clean house to make sure any issues are clearly the responsibility of the previous administration. Maybe there is something to hide.

Izzo has "utmost faith, respect" in Simon.
Not that I'd expect him to badmouth his boss, but he goes pretty far to defend her:
“I hope that the right person was convicted and I have to say, though, that I have the utmost — the utmost faith and respect — for the leadership of our president, too, at Michigan State. It’s a woman who dedicated over 40 years and I’ve been here 33 with her and I think I know what she stands for."

She stands for covering up all information and not releasing anything to the press until the football team and basketball team have both signed all of their 2018 recruits. And he's on board with that.

I agree, but across the country, students (and often faculty) at institutions of higher learning protest to (and do) prevent speakers with different POV. The MSU administration (and apparently UM's from what I'm reading here) are just taking a page out of that playbook.

so unless you're being downright vulgar and taking away from the strides that have been made - kind of like what's been going on in the beltway since '92, let em do what they want.
