I feel bad for Frank Wilson at UTSA. He had the beginnings of something percolating there, and then they underacheived this year and all his hopes of moving on to a better job evaporated. Now he's tied an anchor around his neck.

But it might not happen until year two. One of the patterns in his career is that his first year with a new QB often doesn't go well. It probably takes a year in his system to learn it; it isn't simple and most quarterbacks nowadays won't have run anything like it before.

I could have sworn he got a job coaching Isaac Haas at Purdue. (Yeah, it's the second time I've used this picture, but I just like it so much.)
While I'm at it, there's a striking resemblance between Nebraska's Isaiah Roby and Sideshow Bob, right down to the giant red clown shoes.
