Should he prove he's good enough to play. The best shall rise to the top of the depth chart.
But I wouldn't use today's showing as a benchmark.

HIgh school means little once he steps on that practice field in August. He's no way the backup at any point half way through the first half of next season. Not with Brown and Mattison coaching this group up for however long already. Redshirt for shizzle, won't need him next year. This defensive line is cracking skulls starting in South Bend. Boom that all you biznatchle trolls reading this very comment and suck deez too!

Lets pump the brakes a little, next year is not his year but for a high schooler against some of the top talent in the country I thought he looked great. But we have depth and he is just adding to it and making the future look bright. Just like Wormley and Taco did for Gary and Winovich they can take him under their wings. Vilian and Paye are supposed to be legit

Near the end of the game he would have had another sack but was held so bad he didnt quite get to th QB, he might as well get used to be held and not having it called though

from watching the best Uber driver in A2 be #2 on the depth chart. I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that it might happen again. In fact, in this case I'm perfectly happy going with whatever Don Brown and Associates feel is right for young Mr. Hutchinson. I'll support the starting (insert position here) regardless of what his name is.
His father needed a wheelbarrow to take home his team awards, and those included scholastic honors. I can't wait to see Aidan start writing his own chapter on and off the field.

If you look at the pic on Sam Webbs twitter page of our three Army All Americans Hutchinson looks a lot bigger than Mayfield

Anyone asserting whether or not he plays next year based on this game and any of the limited play we saw from DL back-ups this year is fooling themselves.
He played great. Has elite length, and seems to have great agility for that size, and an undeniable motor. This is great. What that means for next year is unknown for everyone in this board.

It's just too early, but yes this was an eye opener. I say what I did above as much for those guaranteeing a redshirt. sure he needs to add some strength, but arms and legs that long often have added strength built-in. And sure the coaches like Kemp, but we haven't seen enough of him to say he's going to block all comers.
Now that Hutchison had this game, there's some stories of his he was giving Brey Walker fits all week.

Most of the kids who have played in that game do play as freshmen. So it can happen.

Give him time everything is relative and he looked good against equal high school talent. He'll get on campus and hit the weight room and ad some lbs and strength but for now his technique looked good

A+ Grade: Aidan Hutchison, DE (Michigan): Though Caden Sterns was officially named the MVP of the game, it was Hutchison who made the biggest overall impact. The future Wolverine had two sacks, 2.5 tackles for loss and at least three other plays on which he ripped through the offensive line like it wasn't even there. Is this your own opinion or did an analyst write this?

Athough we pretty much had no shot at him, James Cook (Dalvin’s younger brother, committed to UGA) would’ve been crazy for this class. Dude looked dynamic out there.
