Fsu was at time of win and had their QB, + miss st. & Lsu. That is 1 top 10 win, 2 top 25's. OSU has 2 top 10's and 1 other top 25. End of day difference between 1 loss and 2. (Both blowouts).

Just saying I don't osu's resume is as good as it looks (UW not playing anyone really, getting toughest game in UM at home), and Bama's as bad as it seems. FSU crapping the bed after key injuries.

Yeah, unfortunately Alabama did not even win their division, and the team that did win the division lost badly in the SEC championship.

This is not the same situation as last year.  OSU took a spot from conference champion Penn State, but they still represented the Big Ten.

Alabama getting in would take a spot away from another conference and completely leave that conference out.  The committee won't do that.

Think the committee goes with (1) Clemson vs. (4) OSU and (2) Oklahoma vs. (3) Georgia

Top three are locked in stone, fourth spot is between OSU and Alabama I'd assume.  How many top ten wins does the Iowa game knock out?  The Auburn and Oklahoma losses are basically even.  OSU's third best win (MSU) is at least as good as Alabama's best (LSU) so the question is how much that Iowa game weighs them down.  I think not enough.

That said, I think Alabama would destroy OSU if they were in a 4/5 game in a six or eight team playoff.

Six team is also reasonable, but leaves out UCF:

Byes (1) Clemson and (2) Oklahoma
(3) Georgia vs. (6) USC
(4) Ohio State vs. (5) Alabama

Twelve:

Byes: (1) Clemson, (2) Oklahoma, (3) Georgia, (4) Ohio State
(5) Alabama vs. (12) Washington
(6) USC vs. (11) Miami
(7) Wisconsin vs. (10) Auburn
(8) UCF vs. (9) Penn State

Sixteen with auto-bids for every conference:

(1) Clemson (ACC) vs. (16) Troy (Sun Belt)
(2) Oklahoma (Big 12) vs. (15) Toledo (MAC)
(3) Georgia (SEC) vs. (14) FAU (CUSA)
(4) Ohio State (Big 10) vs. (13) Boise State (MWC)
(5) Alabama (At large) vs. (12) Washington (At large)
(6) USC (Pac 12) vs. (11) Miami (At large)
(7) Wisconsin (At large) vs. (10) Auburn (At large)
(8) UCF (AAC) vs. (9) Penn State

Bama loss at Auburn who crushes it at home. I think the Georgia game today showed that a bit. Auburn beating Georgia at home by a lot, but returning the favor today. I don't care about resumes, to me Bama checks...quality loss on the road, only 1 loss instead of 2, they show better eye test by dominating every game but 2 (Auburn & Miss St).

Plus, FSU win opening night when it's 2 top 5 teams has to count as a quality win. They did it with fsu's QB playing & them being on cloud 9 playing hard with huge expectations. They gave up after that Miami loss.

You might laugh but what hurts Bama. All of these talking clowns on tv in Herbie, Galloway, and Robert Smith all OSU homers who are pushing hard. That won't help!

I think it just comes down to whether the committee wants to select two from a conference for the first time. Will that outweigh leaving out a conference that's been outscored in the playoff, 69-0, the last two years? I think so. Alabama's got the look and only lost the road game to Auburn, but Georgia earned this. Is Alabama better than OSU? Probably. Does OSU deserve it? No. But it's too strong a statement to take both Georgia and Alabama - that would encourage the kind of scheduling b.s. the SEC (and Wisconsin) prefers.
