transferred back then, how did you hear about it? Who even kept track of such things?
Grad transfers are relatively new. Coaching staff turnovers are faster, more frequent and lead to more transfers. Transfers for playing time, homesickness, grades, personal issues have been around for a long time.

I don't think so. You have to take the best players from your state for multiple reasons. If a guy like that pans out, he is not only doing well for your school but also he isn't going to your rivals. It happens. They won't all pan out.
