Wisconsin leading receiver Quintez Cephus out for year: LB Chris Orr out vs Iowa
Wisconsin's leading receiver sophomore Quintez Cephus has been announced to be out for the year. Cephus took over the top spot when the two guys who were thought to be the top 2 options coming into the season, seniors Jazz Peavy and George Rushing, failed to produce. Rushing hasn't played all year and Peavy has 5 catches for 55 yards this year and hasn't played since 10/7 against Nebraska. Cephus has 30 catches for 501 yards and 6 TDs.
Also out for the game against Iowa is LB Chris Orr. He missed the game last week against Indiana as well. He has 35 tackles, 2 sacks and a pick in 8 games this year. Wisconsin is missing LBs Jack Cichy, Zach Baun and Mason Stokke (all out for year) as well. *To clarify, all have been out for year since before the season started.
Star safety D'Cota Dixon is listed as questionable for this week.

have no persuasive evidence to indicate that they aren't.

Top 10 for sure. Playoff team? No. But Paul Chryst does very well with the talent level that he has.
They may have a few injuries, but playing on the road has been a weak link for this team for years. And Camp Randall is probably the third toughest place to play in the conference behind Beaver and the Horseshoe. Wisconsin is going to make Michigan earn everything it gets.

was in the top 10 and everyone said we were overrated. I guess they were right! Now everyone thinks WI is overrated. We'll see in the next couple weeks if everyone was right.

Wisconsin has an excellent, experienced OL and DL. We will be sorely challenged to win those battles, especially on the road.

Especially since it will maybe be their biggest game of the year. They desperately need wins against ranked opponents. I think we'll be in the top 25 next week. I think Iowa is ranked this week but they will need a big victory against us to impress voters.

I hope Quintez Cephus's nickname is "Bro" and if it isn't it should be.

They certainly have been bitten by the injury bug pretty hard, but we have to play our A game to beat them in Madison.

I think we beat Wisconsin, regardless. Need Hudson to have a big, big game against Fumagalli, though.

stupid Mallet. stupid injuries.

late panic scheduling of a very, very good FCS team who exploited all of our known weaknesses as a football team.

If Michigan gets above average QB play they can beat anyone. Of course we need recievers to step up also. We will see how the passing game progresses, but we are trending in the right direction and I take our defense over anyones.

The stepping up needed is pass-pro from OL, RBs and TEs.

and it's taken as proof that the B1G does not belong in the national title picture.

While clearly slowing Wisconsin's rushing attack to a crawl will be huge, as people have said, this is going to be one of those games that, even if we win it, we're probably going to be sitting there - either at home or in the stadium - locked into every little thing happening because it will definitely not be easy to do. I had this game as a "push" in my initial prediction for the year, and I still kind of feel that way even with this news.

So, two good rushing offenses with no passing ability, against really good rushing defenses. This game should be a barn burner!!

Will miss Quintez. Michigan will not.
GO BLUE!!
