Best thing you saw: Week 8

Submitted by mi93 on

Not gonna lie, the pickins' feel a little slim this week.  College football is still amazing to watch.  Some very entertaining games early (OK-KSU, Syr-YTM, 'ville-FSU, Ok St.-Tex).

Non-M: Congrats to the young men of West Point.  Bowl eligible and already selected for the Armed Forces Bowl.  It's always a good story when these young men have a positive season on the field before their service.  The Black Knights success is the best thing I saw.

M: Welp...JOK certainly a bright spot.  The composure of Rashan Gary - if I were held that much I'd want to punch a ref.  All told though, I'm going with "Hello: Mustapha Muhammad".  The future is still very bright and we knew this year wouldn't be like the last two (though the 'how' doesn't make it feel better.

All this game showed me is that we do not have a good defense. We finally played a good offense and failed with an F--------------------------!

Best thing I saw today was that somehow my DVR didn't record the game, saving me from watching Barkley start 14-0.

i have a window near the tv. sometimes during a game i peek outside and see what's going on in nature. today, a raccoon walked by and was very friendly, he looked like he wanted to get into the house. then i got a little scared, what if he did get in? but then I remembered, oh yeah, I have a lot of raccoon poison scattered around the place, and all was good.

Woke up this morning with the sun shining.

PSU was in the same boat last year after the game... Unranked (sure we will be unranked) with two losses, one a huge blowout.

Look where they are now.

With Harbaugh and the recruiting classes we have I think we can do the same.

Future is bright.

After we cratered under RR, Texas fans were talking smack about overtaking us for all-time wins. A lot has changed since then, in spite of our crappy 5-2 season.

Texas looked like they were going to win in OT or at least force a 2nd OT - what a horrifc pass by the Fresh QB - who has played well at times.
