It's all relative. I'm an OK basketball player, but put me up against anyone who played college and I'd be a little child on the court compared to them.
I respectfully disagree. There are plenty of amateur golfers who are scratch or nearly scratch golfers. Some of them even qualify to play in, and occasionally excel, the U.S. Open. I doubt there are many (any?) amateur basketball or football players who could compete with the pros.
