Fmr NFL player Brandon Jacobs rips Coach Harbaugh, sounds like complete idiot
Came across this article on 247 where Brandon Jacobs/sure-fire first ballot hall-of-famer /s was talking about his time in San Francisco and indicated he is not a fan of Coach Harbaugh because he knows "nothing".
WIth some of the events going on around the world and Memorial Day coming up, thought this might give you guys something to laugh about.
I'm sure his lack of usage that year had no bearing on his evaluation. Full disclosure, not a Giants fan and always thought Jacobs was a prick, and while I can't speak for Coach Harbaugh, he probably thought the same thing.
Here's a quote:
"Size and strength is what they had, and that’s why they won. Let’s be real. They had great assistant coaches, but Jim didn’t know what he was doing. Jim had no idea. Jim is throwing slants into Cover-2 safeties, getting people hurt. That guy knew nothing, man."

Pierre Thomas career YPC is 4.6
Justin Forsett career YPC is 4.7
Chris ivory career YPC is 4.5
YPC isn't everything. Jacobs was a mediocre RB at best. Even his stats aren't that impressive:
He had 2 good seasons, with 5.0 YPC in '07 and '08. He played a combined 24 games that season (out of 32 possible), and had 421 carries over that stretch. Nice little run.
Outside of that he had one more decent season in 2010 when he averaged 5.6 ypc on 147 carries. The rest of his seasons aren't that impressive:
2005: 2.6 ypc
2006: 4.4 ypc
2009: 3.7 ypc
2011: 3.8 ypc
2012: 1.2 ypc
2013: 4.1 ypc
He basically had 3 good years. As someone who follows the NFL, no way would I ever call him "one hell of a running back." He was a flash in the pan on some teams that also coincided with a great defensive run by the Giants.
Pro-Football-Reference has a ranking system for all the players since 1960. He gets an AV score of 36, good for 2700 all time since 1960. (Link) By comparison, Fred Taylor has a score of 88.
Unless you're a Giants fan and like reliving the Glory Days of the the late aughts, Brandon Jacobs is completely forgettable. Any thought otherwise is revisionist history.
while playing for Coach H. Hummmm.
(yawn)
So am I supposed to believe that a player, a running back no less, knows more about offensive schematics than a proven, accomplished QB AND head coach at both the college and NFL levels?
who didn't play much and is bitter about that...... Listen Jacobs you can't argue with the success Harbaugh has had at every stop he has coached with and what your saying just makes you look bitter and stupid.
He knew nothing about X's and O's, only had size and strength and they still never used you, a 6'4" 260lb RB. What does that say about you?
