Harbaugh meets the Pope: the ultimate photograph
Turnley with the ultimate photograph.
I'm in awe.
There is no word to describe the inner beauty that shines through the eyes of our Holy Father and his words... "Pray for me" pic.twitter.com/doUpeajuRp

Lots of crossing routes.
A friend of mine got a private audience with Pope John Paul II years ago (his mother was a secretary at the Archdiocese, and was able to get the audience through the Archdiocese). He had the picture on his mantle, and showed it to me - understandably proud of it.
I told him I had seen it before. He was puzzled, because it was my first time over to his house. I told him I had seen it before, but on the Pope's mantle.
Michigan team bonding: involves the Pope.
MSU team bonding: involves..well...um...a bail bondsman.
Meanwhile, the SEC is attempting to draft legislation which will - once and for all - ban coaches from giving gifts to prominent members of the world's religious communities.
Except Mike Slive. He's still cool in their estimation.
My in laws are catholic, but hate Michigan football. They will love this photo!
This reminds me of when British 1960s gangstas Reggie and Ronnie Kray were asked if they knew the Beatles.
"I believe they know us," says Reggie.
Audibles will now be called out in Latin.
"Hyacintho quadraginta duo, hyacintho quadraginta duo, HUT"
Vidi what you did there...
My Latin is rusty.
Not just called out, but chanted
+1 topical
Lol, somebody wrote,"Who's got it better than the Pope? Nobody!"
So, have they become good enough friends to bring him to the Big House? If not, just show him this vid and he'll be convinced:

That is very cool. Brian Kelly must be purple with envy.
I am very happy for Coach Harbaugh. I know this meant a lot to him.
I am a religious person, and know that this is also the case for many on the team, and around the team. I really appreciate that the trip to the Vatican and the Pope was optional, and that Harbaugh doesn't proselytize. At the same time, he is open about his beliefs and values, and how important they are to him.
A year of eligibility. Only JH knew this.

He's met presidents......wow!
Now the Pope! This is just incredible, not only for him, but the guys on his team and his family.
The Pope is one of a handful of the most important people in the world.....Meeting him with the team in attendance.......it doesn't get much better than this.
if the Pope looked at the helmet and told Jim: "And people think that I wear a Funny Hat!"
Sad that no one caught the holy chest bump.
who could pull that off.
I love the smiles & seeing how joy can cross language and country (and ocean!) barriers so easily.
That helmet will look so much better on the pope in formal ceremonies than the conical hat they've been wearing for centuries.
And the Pope said, "What? No khakis'"
Very cool pic.
Thanks for posting.
Cool pic but i wonder how much of what was going on the Pope actually understood...like what is that helmet built for and who is this man?
