Stewart Mandel: Michigan sold their souls when they hired Harbaugh

Submitted by Maizen on

"Our friends at Michigan when they hired Jim Harbaugh sold their souls. There was nobody more ciritical of the SEC and oversigning and pulling scholarship offers than Michigan fans. They hired Jim Harbaugh. That's what Jim harbaugh does. But they're happy with the results."

Hard to believe this dipshit gets paid for his college football analysis when he can't even take two seconds to look at a depth chart. He and Teddy Greenstein probably use each others asses as hand warmers. Ole Miss sold their souls. Baylor sould their souls. The audacity of this guy to suggest something like this is astounding to me.

but this is disappointing, I generally like Mandel and listen to this podcast every week, though Feldman's monotone voice gets on my nerves. I am acutally listening to the podcast now but have not gotten to the mailbag.

He had been an anti-Michigan troll for as long as he has been a writer. His opinion is meaningless. Back when Lloyd was our coach he would constantly talk about how we were overrated.

He is always looking for the "I hate Michigan" angle. Best to completely ignore him.

I don't mind reading what Stevie Mandel writes, but he's definitely been anti-Michigan from the beginning.  I knew he was a Northwestern grad, but I didn't know he was from Ohio.  Makes a lot of sense.

I just hope he doesn't go full Pete.

Damn.  I am going to need to develop a flow chart to keep track of who and remember why I hate all of these media types.  It is getting too cumbersome just to use my memory.

Help me a second, that Tim guy from the San Francisco area, should I hate him too?  If so, why?  I got Teddy, Pete, Drew, Michael, all of the Freep, most of ESPN, and now Stewart.  Am I missing anyone else?

Never even heard of this guy although there are alot of people I don't know!  Opinions are like assholes everyone has one.

Mr. Mandel is following the receipe for quick clicks which is to bash Jim Harbaugh.  Hope he enjoys the extra 14 cents in his paycheck.

Michigan has allowed fifth year seniors to sign with other schools. I know of only one instance where Michigan told a player who had a history of injuries that he shouldn't play (Pipkins). There is no complaints of oversigning or grey-shirting. This guy is being foolish.

you keep hearing people quote things that harbaugh has said or done. and it is said like its fact.so harbaugh does these things on such a regular basis, that that is who he is? where are the facts to back that up? because even the things that where reported werent done so with both sides of the story.

alot of time is spent by the rest of the world to discredit him, why is that?

Fine, if it's what the trolls want to hear and they stop writing poorly researched and biased pieces, I sold my soul. Happy? Ole Miss is under NCAA investigation and Baylor is becoming Penn State 2.0 and we're writing about spurious claims a simple google search would disprove.

There is, however, proof that the internet has produced the opportunity to massify unqualified and misguided ego freaks who have collectively fallen in love with their name in print and can post passing and idiotic thoughts incessantly on the internet without regard to facts or reality. They have finally been able to "come out of the closets" and consider themselves bona fide journalists now and have graduated from their posts as free lance writers on restroom stalls worldwide. Objectively speaking, Jim Harbaugh is very good at his work and should not be featured in the same company as that prospecting dunce...
