OT : New Orleans Area High School Coaches Planning To Ban LSU

Submitted by Eskimoan on

So it looks like New Orleans High School coaches are pretty pissed at coach O for what some might call, "dirty recruiting". He pretty much did what OSU did with Mike Weber, and waited till after signing day before making coaching changes.

Assistant coach and one of his top recruiters, Jabbar Juluke was re-assigned after signing day, making sure LSU secured those recruits

LSU owns Louisiana.  They will make lots of fuss so that they feel better and then they will slink back to LSU

All that talk about Meyer being banned and how did that end out?  With Weber at OSU.

Get our guys in there. Attack with an enthusiasm known to mankind. We've done a decent job of identifying areas of the country with vulnerable in-state schools. We might fight an uphill battle against some of the Southern schools, but if we get in on the right kids, I can see it paying off.

....it makes me all giddy inside.  And my wife went to UT (Knoxville), so you can imagine how much eye rollin' happens in my house.  But I have to say, there is A LOT of blue down here in the Nashville area.

I'm still confused what the "reassignment" actually is and whether it would somehow deter these recruits from interracting with their former RB coach. It doesn't seem quite like what Ohio pulled

But this is why i oppose moving the signing day up. It just gives even more leverage to the teams and takes it away from the 17 year olds who actually need protection. This is also why i call it the CBAA - It would be simple to institute a rule that shenanigans such as this allows new signees to switch teams immediately, forcing position coaches to take new job offers or be fired or demoted BEFORE the 17 year old has to sign a binding commitment
