If Coach Brown likes him, I like him.

Being on the Hawaii coaching staff actually sounds like the best job ever. Says a lot about what's happening in AA if he makes the move.

Guess it really depends on if a person enjoys being in a tourist destination away from the life and culture your used to. Once the vacation feeling wears off, even the most pleasant places to be can make you long to come back to what your used to.
EDIT: There's also winning and Hawaii hasn't done very much of that.

Pretty noticeable improvement from last year...and they also participated in their first bowl game since 2010.

"Your" implies ownership and is a possessive adjective.
"You're" is a contraction of "you are." Try this; the next time you use the two or are confused, sound out whether you can expand the word. If you can, you should be using "you are" as opposed to "your."

It sounds great to live in Hawaii, but after a while you get island fever. And the tourists act like idiots for the most part, so there's that (obviously not all of them).

It really depends on the person. I lived there for over 3 years and I never wanted to leave. Unfortunately I had no other choice.

What is the warrant out on you there?
February 7th, 2017 at 12:25 PM ^
LOL. I had to avoid Dog and his sweet mullet.

Does your tagline say Nothing beats a hustler?
February 7th, 2017 at 12:35 PM ^
No but that would be hilarious.
It says "Nothing beats hustle."

Go Blue. Need some M football.

Dudes are lining up to get on this staff. Even if that means going from a coordinator position to an analyst. They see others moving onward and upward. JH will never have problems getting good coaches here.

Dude has an impressive background and loads of experience.

Getting a current DC to consider being an analyst says a lot about Harbaugh and Brown. It'd be crazy to steal him.

record as a coach. Landing him as an analyst would be a very nice pickup. I'm guessing he would do it in the hopes of becoming a coach in the near future.

I would like this team to collect an analyst from every vanguished foe this year. Like, I want the linebacker coach from UCF and the water boy from Rutgers.

isn't there an additional coaching posisition being added in the near future? Hire as analist now promote when coaching number expands. Here is an atricle when he left BC and went to Hawaii. http://www.si.com/college-football/2015/12/30/kevin-lempa-hawaii-defens…
[Edit] Looks like D. back field position coach.

This is what I was thinking, adding analysts and moving one into the new coaching position.
February 7th, 2017 at 12:48 PM ^
if an on-the-field position come April wasn't part of the appeal. That said, I'm still holding out hope that the 10th guy will be a RB guy so JayBaugh can focus on ST. Hart or Huff would be fantastic given their experience, regional ties, and recruiting track record, but it seems like Bush might be a good promotion if we're thinking of the RB coach in more of a Beyonce light.

Why would any coach want to come coach at Michigan? Everyone knows that Harbaugh will be gone in a couple of years to the NFL. Just ask Sparty or any NFL reporters.

From a DC to an analyst? It would not surprise me if a Michigan analyst makes more than a Hawaii DC (especially considering the absurd cost of living in HI). However, I would assume there is some kind of family consideration.
I lived there for 6.5 years. We loved what we loved, but the six time zones away from family on the east coast was a real issue, and so is the price of air fare now that airline industry has figured out how to do price fixing without getting caught.
The other issue is that Oahu's infrastructure, including and especially the Univ of Hawaii's facilities, have some real long standing issues without easy fixes. Construction and maintenance are both ruinously expensive and the available contractors don't do very good work. Consequently, the traffic is atrocious, and the absurd price of housing (the S.F. bay area MIGHT be more costly, but not by much) means even semi-affordable comes with a 90+ minute commute, each way, to work in Honolulu or Pearl Harbor. Also, the public school system has major problems. They can't afford to pay school teachers living wages, and the center of mass of the families using the public school system does not demand better performance. Thus, a lot of people (including public school teachers) eat another expense for private schools.
Finally, the Univ of Hawaii Athletiic Department is run at the Rutgers level of competency. Norm Chow agreed to become the head coach, near as anyone can tell, intending to join what we in the Navy call the "ROAD" (retired, on active duty) program; either that or his IQ mysteriously dropped 30 points when he arrived on the island. The brain behind the USC offense of the 2000s was no where to be seen, and after he got the firing he so richly deserved, he made a TV commercial that seemed to imply he had taken advantage of the AD. It's a miracle their teams (especially volleyball, where they are a national power, baseball and softball) are as good as they are with the rampant stupidity.
OK, I guess I just convinced myself why he'd be looking for a "lesser" job on Harbaugh's staff. Welcome Mr. Lempa! Buy yourself some warm clothing.

He was mentioned during "DB CC" when Greg Jackson left. To get him as an analyst would be HUGE!!!
