It's rivals, so take it with a bag of salt.

Sources informed TheWolverine.com that Roman was in for the Indiana game and has been in touch with Harbaugh recently, especially when OC Tim Drevno was interviewing for head coaching jobs at San Jose St. and elsewhere. As we first reported Saturday, it wouldn't surprise at all if he joined the staff soon, though Baltimore and other NFL teams are reportedly showing interest in him.

UCLA and Michigan Alum. UCLA has no football culture whatsoever. They play an hour away and never win anything. It feels like a commuter school and the students are mostly self absorbed turds or nerds (hot chicks aside). Now USC is on the rise. Yeah some players come out of there but not as many as should. Any football player who chooses UCLA over Jim Harbaugh Michigan because of Jedd Fisch is a fool.

Lynn is a good coach for the Bills, too, but I would still not blame Roman for that team's offensive woes. They finished worse this year than last year, team-wise. Plus, they four really solid defenses at the start of year, including Patriots, who had best scoring defense on the year. All four defenses were top 11 in yards per game.

Roman is a solid coach, just as good as Fisch was at Jax before he came here.

He's OC at Boston College where I don't think he's being paid much.  He seems like another pretty intense guy, in keeping with this staff.

For whatever it's worth, Roman was much less popular with 49ers fans than Harbaugh, and Harbaugh's refusal to move on from Roman was supposedly one of the causes of the friction between Harbaugh and York/Baalke.

Tuioti was the recruiting coordinator. Dougherty was an analyst. He worked with the coaches.

There's no limit on how many people like that you can put on your support staff. There's a very strict limit on how many can actually work as coaches.

Chris Weinke!! That would be a really interesting name.

  • Age 44
  • 1989 USA Today High School All-American
  • Florida State QB (1997-2000)
  • 2000 Heiman Trophy winner
  • #16 retired by FSU
  • 2010-2014 IMG Academy Director of Football
  • 2015- Present Rams QB coach

Bring in Weinke as the QB coach (He won't be returning to the Rams). Promote Drevno to full time OC. Weinke can take over recruiting in the south, mostly Florida where his is huge due to FSU and IMG!!!

That would be an interesting hire and great name to have on the staff!
