If there's one great thing that came from this thread, it's the reminder of how great the search results on Google Image are when you put in "Al Borges Michigan."

The one positive in a long history of negative yardage.

We had almost no OL which fell more on Rodriguez's recruiting and Funk but they did make some strange decisions like Samuelson instead of Pocic and rarely recruiting qbs. I think whoever was coaching was going to struggle at least a little on offense. OL is the most important position on offense. If it isn't good, you can't run and your qb is getting pressured every throw and can get hurt.

I feel like Brian Kelly is going into full Office Space mode. He's doing whatever he can do to get fired. His players are all leaving, his recruits are fleeing, he doesn't appear to even want to recruit anymore, and now he's hiring 27 for 27 Borges.

The guy is straight up Rasputin. You just can't keep him down.

Is it possible Brian Kelly has a huge contract severance clause that only kicks in if he is fired, but not if he quits?

This is a prank post. Right? Early April Fools? Maybe just a sick sense of humor?

Al borges? You can't mean the same Al Borges who screwed up our offense? C'mon.

If this is for real, then Notre Dame: Go for it! We love you guys, and want to see you win, win, win. Al Borges is just the man to make that happen.

If you hire Al Borges, Notre Dame, you will be happy. And we will be so happy for you. You will rule the football universe. Would I steer you wrong?

You mean the OC who felt leaving campus to recruit was not in his job description?

Oh, and the man who seemed so preoccupied drawing up complex plays on napkins that required the QB and WR to both read a defense and be in synch on the same read...all with kids recruited to the RR zone read?

Borges never seemed to have any cohesive plan...it always felt like he was so excited about his playbook that he could not see what was happening in the game and forgot that maybe a counter to a few of his plays would be a good thing.
