Cool graph

Submitted by Anonymous Coward (not verified) on

With all of the craziness of the weekend I couldnt remember if you guys had posted this or not but a friend brought in the print edition to work today.

Of the 13 teams in the prestigious right upper quadrant, five are from the Big 10 and four are from the Pac 12. Texas is of course representing the Big 12 and most notably the SEC is represented by only 1 team-Florida. For those of us who love the Big 10 it certainly leaves us with a great feeling.

To get to the article, type "College Football Grid of Shame" as a google search and pick the 2nd search item and you can then view the graph.

The whole point of the graph is not to present objective facts, but rather shows how irritated the national media is with how much hype Harbaugh is generating for Michigan.

Who cares about Michigan's position on some meaningless perceptual map - but the recruits see that Harbaugh is driving the NCAA Hype Bus, which is always a positive. For coming out of the RR and Hoke years, this is exactly the coverage that helps move us forward.

Unless I'm reading it wrong, it has us on the weakling side of that axis. This one sucks man ass worse than the first one. The first isn't much better though. MSU is definitely not more admired than MICHIGAN, except in EL and trailer parks. And Washington has been a doormat for a while now.

I'm pretty sure that was the point of this graph, obviously created by a buckeye. It has UM high on "hyped" while OSU is the farthest team on the "powerhouse" range. It clearly represents the significant butt hurt from Buckeyes that our team is getting all the attention. I like it when I can taste their insecurity.

A blunt instrument. How can Michigan State ever be ranked ahead of Michigan in Football integrity, other than the RR probationary period which ended 7 years ago?

Surprised to see how there isn't more Internet outrage about Clemson being so high on the admirability axis. See: the recruitment of Rashan Gary.

For being our only embarrassing weaklings! Special shout-out to the Nittany Lions for being the 4th most embarrassing team in the country! You didn't win the title, but it's really tough to be worse than Baylor! You're close, though - I'm sure you'll get there as long as there is breath in Scott Paterno's lungs!

And Rutgers? Y'all just never stop never stopping. You'll be more of a weakling than Purdue before you know it!
