yep, was gonna post the same comment.

nice to hear him publicly acknowledge the low OL #s, future depth, etc - even if they dont end up signing 7 OL - as thats a concerning area.

very interested to see not only how this class and its OL prospects shake out by signing day but also the play, progression and practice rep of many of those guys as true frosh

but what I liked best about him setting down and speaking with the "guys" was  , contrary to what Finebaum has to say, there are a lot of people around the sport that enjoy setting down and just having fun with this guy speaking about a mutual passion.

Yes, he might have had to use some unique methods - part of his genius - in gaining exposure at a level a lesser mind would have taken two, three years to do, but as soon as you see him in "football mode," you can dismiss all the snake-oil talk you want. This man loves football and he knows how to appeal to recruits. Hardly an opportunity is presented where he does not mention, regardless of the unit, "these young men have a legitimate chance at playing at the next level." It was especiall nice hearing him speak about an OL that has been much maligned throughout their career, not for lack of talent, or effort. But without Jim and Drevno, that's exactly how they would have been remembered.

In that respect, he's like Bo. Trust youself to me, good things will happen, and we'll get it done th right way.

Do we have a problem with Harbaugh naming an Ohio native as one of the most gung-ho players he's ever met?

edit - Nevermind, I just realized that Woodson and D. Howard are Ohio natives too... That kind of sucks beause I didn't realize that about Howard.

They should play Peppers at S... Or slot receiver... Or Z position. Just pick ONE and let him learn and master that position. It's almost as if they're stretching him out too thin by playing him all over the field without letting him get a firm grasp at a single spot. The kid is a HELL of a talent and i'm sure Jim has taken a special interest in getting him in a comfort zone on the field and letting him trul master a position. This isn't HS where a guy that talented can take over a game from anywhere on the field. Please don't kill me with neg's, this is just my honest opinion (that i've had for some time).

Or does Coach seem a LOT looser this year? It's almost like he knows he's going to have a really, really good team this season.

for a long time - years that we as a coaching staff knew we were not going to be very good we were loose.  Years when our expectations and talent were high - we did not have as much fun, too uptight, worry about every detail......Coach Harbaugh is way better at coaching than I so he obviously has it figured out - GO BLUE

Check Bruce Feldman, Sam Webb, Angelique, and especially Nick Baumgardner's twitter.

They give you everything you need to know, plus more.

You could see Harbaugh give him the death stare.

The douche does need to understand that one is an AD and one a coach. Of course, Gene Smith was going to apologize and no reason Jim should.

and props to Harbaugh for being patient and letting him rant on his high horse the virtues of OSU; I bet he would have been proud of Marcus Hall for flipping off 100k people and not apologizing for it.

I can't stand OSU.

i read the guys article, i think it was a writer for the plain dealer. you could tell he was so proud of himself for putting harbaugh on the spot. he said he has been waiting since march to ask him those questions. what a punk.

He'll probably be too excited to sleep tonight, reveling in the delusion that he somehow got the best of Jim Harbaugh.  But tomorrow comes the morning light and with any thought or intelligence, he will realize he is just a sad, petty man, holding onto a presumed Twitter slight that even the principals had already forgotten.

I am sure his dream job was OSU and he might have realized it had he taken the GA job. His last minute change of heart might have cost him but at that time the talent you run into just walking down the sidewalk didn't exist.

An excellent job - he was good - might have propelled him to his dream job.

How about Tim May (osu writer) asking coach Ash "is July the hot month?" (Referring to players getting in trouble) Way to blow an opportunity to ask a B10 coach a meaningful question. Not to mention sound like an idiot who's been covering osu's corrupt ass program for years. Rant over.
