While driving to the office this morning, I was the only car at a major stop light. On a typical workday I would have been joined by at least 40 cars. There is actual GOOD football starting in 2 hours and I will be here AT LEAST 5 more. NEGBANG MY LIFE.

I am at work. My office is near Times Square. Not only am I sitting at my computer doing literally nothing, but every passing second makes me more and more worried about the increasingly growing crowds of complete idiots outside of my office that are going to stand there all damn afternoon and evening with no food and no public restrooms to watch a ball slowly move down a pole for 60 seconds at midnight. I gotta leave by like 12:30pm or I'll literally be trapped.

That would actually make a pretty good plot for a "mockumentary" -a guy is working on a deadline project on NYE in an office in your Times Square area. He has to get the project done before he can leave, but we continually see the idiots beginning to mass outside and blocking off all exit points.
Of course he responds to the deadline pressure and the mockumentary crew recording him by stopping to talk to them and looking out the windows when he should be focussing on the task... screwing himself to being stuck in Times Square!
Or does that sound too realistic to you?

I've been the only one in my office for the last week pretty much. I just started in March so everyone but me has PTO to use up around the holidays. Christmas Eve I snuck out at 2pm and I don't think they care to check the cameras on me so I'll do that again today! But still...

Use the TuneIn Radio app. That's what I will be doing starting at noon. I know it's not video, but radio is better than nothing and listening to sports while at the office makes the day go faster.

however, I encourage you to get a room full of high school students to not only refrain from talking, but to pay attention and learn.
My job is harder than any of yours... mind you, it is very easy to be a shitty teacher, and lord knows there are enough of them, but when it comes to being a quality, inspirational teacher we are talking about a task on par with brain surgery only more difficult because our 'patients' aren't sedated.
