OT- Post Christmas shopping ideas

Submitted by Rather be on BA on

I find myself with some money to spend after Christmas this year, and completely unable to figure out what I want to spend it on.  I am so conditioned to saving my money growing up the son of a financial advisor, that I have a hard time spending my money, even around the holidays.

I figured I would open it up to the mgoboard for ideas, Michigan related, or not.

Let's set the budget at $400.

Ready, set.. go!

If an accident happens and it's really not your fault, you have video to prove that. One interesting scenario is if you get into an accident with somebody who has the same insurance company as you, the insurance company would prefer to hold both of you partially at fault in order to increase both of your rates. Maybe that's a bit paranoid but I like the idea of having everything documented just in case.

Just get one big non electronic thing. Electronics lose their value quite quickly and can become out of date or worse, obsolete, after a year or two. Get yourself something that will last like a nice watch (Movados, Citizens etc can be had for that) or something you wont regret a year from now. I still have a canon powershot s3 I bought years ago for about $450 and now my phone takes better pictures lol. Or a vacation.. 4 day cruise?

I went to walmarts and pet smarts to buy up those large rawhide bones at half price.  I'm going to cut them into pieces with the old band saw and my dogs will have treats for months.
