OT: Ruffin McNeill fired by East Carolina
Why is this relevant? Because this is a terrible decision and a case of a school not knowing who they are.
Ruffin McNeil had a 10-3 team just two years ago. One rebuilding 5-7 year at a school that doesn't exactly reload and he's fired.
He went 8-5 last year and beat North Carolina 70-41!!
Idiots. Complete idiots. Would be a great hire if Rutgers got him and could take them from horrific to mediocre.

Dumbest firing so far by a long shot.
I'm with whoever was tweeting about it, saying there has to be more to the story than this, the stupidity is FAR too strong otherwise.

Sometimes personel desicions are made for non-football reasons. Not implying anything, just thought it needed saying.

This makes zero sense. There HAS to be some type of off the field issue, right? Why else would a non-power 5 school fire an alumnus and proven winner who has stayed loyal to ECU despite having chances to take higher paying jobs?

I'm a recent ECU alumnus and I'm not happy about this. Makes no sense, as people have stated.
Ruffin played at ECU for 4 years and the team was trending upwards until this year, which was supposed to be a rebuilding year anyways. Then we lost our starting qb to an ACL tear before the season. This was right after our backup transferred because he wouldn't get any playing time (lol).
