Some MSU/Nebraska Gifs

Submitted by Swayze Howell Sheen on

Just before the last Nebraska drive, the fans started to go nuts:

During the last drive, Mork thought they had the game won with an interception:

Finally, Mork calling for one more second, or perhaps dreams of being #1 going down in flames?

From an immediate schadenfreude standpoint, the gesture by Dantonion asking if perhaps there should be one second put back on the clock was almost as chuckleworthy as Connor Cook - in the moment - forgetting how to estimate the passage of seven seconds. I am not sure if he honestly believed he would win that argument or if maybe he believed that he could tune into Bo Ryan's Sith powers and use them in a football setting to get the clock to move in his favor.

I think it was in the second quarter I posted something along the lines of " careful not to trust the devil Dantonio, he may just turn on you" after a post about sacrificing souls. Who knew how correct that would be!!! So sweet!!

I've hated the Buggeaters since birth but karma came home to roost in Lincoln last night and Sparty tears taste fantastic on my French toast this morning ...

State played in to many close games this year to be considered elite. They barely got by Oregon and Rutgers. There most impressive win this year was the fluke over UM and they lose major contributors on both sides of the ball next year.

I was lucky enough to be at the game and experience MSU go down first-hand. To see Cook let the final play slip through his fingers brought a smile to my face, and after all Nebraska has been through this year, they earned the win. Not to take away from the Big House, but Memorial stadium went absolutely insane. Nebraska fans are passionate, that's for sure. Here's to hoping Michigan can work its way back into the Big Ten title game!

I think I saw Riley excited in a game this year. I saw a few NEB games this year and that man is a statue. Even he knows this buys him time. I give the victory to the extension rumor of their AD. /s Dantonio pleading was sweet. They will not be down like Purdue level, but M and OSU is going to step it up each year. So, no more B1G championship. This year is their best shot.

Now we just need Ace or Seth to do a frame by frame analysis of the out of bounds play showing it was the correct call like Comparoni did on the Bolden ejection play.

Dantonio was putting the index finger up because he thought there was one more second left on the clock and after watching the replay I think he was right about that.  Howeva, its good to see karma work its way around to sparty.  Pride cometh before the fall!   So far this season the most gratifying game to watch was that one.

I bow down to you in humble acknowledgement of your superior football prognostication abilities.

The ball was on NEB's 41 on Sparty's last play. How long a FG attempt would that have been?

I know Riley is a good guy and a has been a good coach, but he almost blew that game last night...

The next to last TD had a Minn like clock management at the goal line - ran two runs straight up the gut and had to burn a TO.

Then, wtf was that squib kick to Sparty's 40 on the last drive??? Basically the only way they'd have a chance to get in FG position. a few head scratchers for sure.

Even more reason to kick it deep..  I don't even like that strategy when the other team needs to score a touchdown. When a FG will beat you, I really don't understand conceding 10-20 yards like that.
